Paco Rabanne has announced the imminent launch of its new range of fragrances named Pacollection, which are thought to be game changing due to the soft packaging, and purely digital communication, according to WWD.com.

Set to be launched on 11th June, the first collection designed under the brand’s creative director Julian Dossena, Pacollection showcases innovative unbreakable packaging, with IFF being the perfumers behind the scents.

Said to be offering a new twist on luxury, the scents include Genius Me, Dangerous Me, Erotic Me, Strong Me and Crazy Me, and come with outer packaging that embodies a video tape box and includes a poster that details all the information about the fragrance, including recycling tips.

Dossena said, “I insisted that we keep it really free and strong in the combination of ingredients. I love that it’s a really radical proposition. Nothing is too natural, it’s a bit pushed — as if all the notes were a bit artificial or chemical in that sense, which I found super modern and really the way to express that side of Paco Rabanne which is always searching for this other idea of luxury. I find it interesting that everything comes out a little bit synthetic in the fragrances, as well.”

The launch campaign features dancer and model Alton Mason, skater Evan Mock, DJ and music producer Bambounou, Korean model Hyunji Shin, singer Kelela and actress Dree Hemingway.

Speaking about the selection, Dossena continued, “We were searching for people who were creative and active in life — not just muses.”

Can Evan Mock (guy with the pink hair) walk like a normal person?
I like the set and HuynJi is just too cute. Don't get Alton Mason's hype, Kelela who I normally like overposed, and the others are just fillers.

"pacollection" seems cringe from start to finish. The ad looks like its for some kind of gadget. Not a fragrance.

It slightly reminds me of Karl’s Kapsule Fragrance collection.
I think the most interesting thing about this is the fact that Julien can finally interact with the perfume department. This is a testament to the success of what he is doing in Fashion.

That being said, Paco Rabanne needs to be a bit cheesy. This is too cerebral...

As someone who works in branding and marketing, that name is just bad.

Too serious of a shot. Like Lola said Paco Rabanne needs just a little bit of fun and cheesy.

I do agree that this Evan character does look very awkward in the video LOL. Not every brand needs influencers!
