Pairing Shoes with Clothes Help Thread

What type of boots look best with a prairie skirt? It's getting colder where I live and I need warmer footwear. I tried wearing short slouchy ankle boots, but it looked odd. Any ideas?

^^ try a lace-up boot with a bit of a heel -- either victorian-ish, 70s chic, or western in style could work. i'd aim for something a little less detailed to avoid looking too much like a 'little house on the prairie' extra, but you can definitely still have fun. plain knee-high riding boots would work just fine as well, especially if the skirt or your blouse is more embellished... little lace-up flat granny boots would work too if you really wanted something flat and ankle-height!

either an enormously tall wedge with wide straps, a stiletto bootie with some bling, or just basic pumps, depending on your style.... it looks very similar to herve leger bandage dresses and i feel like there's billions of photos of celebrities wearing those, maybe look to some of those or to herve leger runway styling for inspiration?

The Perfect Shoe

Alright, so this is my first time making a discussion, and I'm not completely sure if this should go here so if needed, move to where it's appropriate.
Anyways, my graduation is coming up (not high school, 8th grade) and I got my dress recently but I haven't been able to find the perfect shoes for it. Please leave some suggestions on what you think would look good with it. Thanks in advance.
