She looks very very young without make up. I also love this natural look on her. Looks like a new album is on its way really soon.

Omg, are these pictures real?? Christina looks astounding. Always thought she had this rare beauty which really only comes through when she's without makeup. And I like the shot with the vintage hair a la Barbara Stanwyck in Double Indemnity.

She doesn't smoke plus she avoids the sun  She has always looked young and fresh sans make up. Her skin is really amazing.

She just really likes to look beat most of the time  I can't believe the universal acclaim she's having for this cover. Almost all media outlets (Vogue included) and celebrities are praising her for this.

These pictures are really, really beautiful! And it‘s good to see her again, she hasn‘t been on my radar for a very long time. Would love to hear new music from her.

Woah! Why in the fresh hell does she always wear so much makeup when she looks incredible without it?

I'm also a big fan of the editorial, every image is stunning. I only hope her new music is as good and honest as this.

i never understood her obsession with heavy makeup either. she looks stunning with bare skin! not crazy about the cover but the profile portrait with the wig (?) looks sensational.

To be honest while i was looking at this cover i thought there was a mistake , (is it really her??) i was really confused until seeing the other pictures.
She looks way better without the clownish make up, she also looks really young. Beautiful cover.

Artistically speaking, I find her, Britney and, yes, Beyoncé and Rihanna and all the pop stars of today absolutely trashy. and very few of them strike me beyond that: be it for their attitudes or style.

I am surprised with this cover. I really thought it was a mistake, I always had this image of her as a white trash pop clown, a Paris Hilton meets Madonna trying to be edgier. She looks classy and fresh here unlike her peers. Was she always like this? Was that terrible make-up/styling just an "act", like Lady Gaga?

Also, did she change, musically speaking? I always thought she had a good range (although quite wild/unrestrained at times), just needed a new direction. She could kill as an Adele kind of singer.

Lol, her image was always a bit on the thrashy side especially after the first album. And I don't understand why because she kept out of the tabloids (mostly) and didn't hang around those tacky Hiltons. Her fashion campaigns and music videos (only the Back to Basic ones!) looked great and probably gave Dita von Teese sleepless nights. It could have been totally different if she had the same dedicated support from brands that Rihanna and Katy currently enjoy.

What she'll always have over her peers is her voice. Her vocal range is really wide, although never really used properly. She doesn't sing through the nose while trying to be sexy or rely on autotune to sell. I agree, she should consider something more dense like a jazz or blues album. Back to Basics was a bit watered down, but it gave us a glimpse of her talent.
What helps Adele is that she found her niche. There's no need to overcompensate, which is what Christina does most of the times.
