^I think people who like and admire her operate in a bubble. I know tons of people who don't even know who she is. If you like someone and watch them, you notice their photos more everywhere. I think it's impossible to speak for the world and for future popularity.

I think it's rude to state that people who like her operate in a bubble. It is not any different than liking most other celebrities, it's simply a matter of taste and personal interests. Besides, I do believe a vast majority of people in western society are aware of who she is. If you stand in a grocery cashier line, turn on the tv (even CNN), read a newspaper, listen to the radio etc. you've heard of her. I think you "operate in bubble" if you DON'T know who Paris Hilton is

yeah I kinda agree. My mom doesn't even know who jennifer aniston or brad pitt is and if I mention Paris Hilton she'll be like "I don't like that girl she's not pretty I don't see what everyone sees in her" hahaha

Despite the fact that I'm not really a big fan, I have to agree. You can't say someone lives in a bubble because they like paric hilton, if you turn around she's right there. It's nuts!!

Nothing new under the sun: Brenda Frazier and Doris Duke played much the same role in the 30s-50s. Their clothes were better, but that's about it. Same fast lifestyle partying at nightclubs, same media obsession fueled by fascination and disgust. Chances are your great grandma sat around talking trash about Brenda Frazier too...LOL!

When she got her phone hacked, I asked someone who knew her:"Everybody's going to use this as another excuse to dump on her. For God's sake, can't you tell me an anecdote I can come back with about something she did that was really great? I mean, do you have any stories like "one night I saw her give a thousand bucks to a homeless dude" or anything like that?"

I completely agree. I think Paris will become a legend. She's famous for not really doing anything at all (minus Simple Life and the sex tape). It's amazing at how EVERYONE knows who she is and is fascinated by her. If any other celeb had done some of the antics she's pulled off, I'd hate them, but with Paris I find it amusing.

true - she's like the Zsa Zsa Gabor of her generation...she knows it and works it! you can't blame her for capitalizing on what the public wants. She plays the part so well.

I never thought I would actually like one of Paris Hilton's outfits but I have to admit the dress does like nice on her. She is wearing Sophia Kokosalaki. I also rather like Nicky's Chloe dress.

I love the Sophia Kokosalaki dress . . . but I think her hair and accessories could have been better. As for Nicky, I like the dress but I liked it better when Jennifer Connoly wore it

no it's in the same smattering of pictures, she's wearing a yellow skirt and top, the bag is slouchy, white, with peacock feathers possibly sequined on. Someone suggested Matthew Williamson but I haven't been able to find out if he did that bag...or any of his recent bags for that matter
