Paris shopping

is there a french version of topshop? that is to say, some more affordable store like h&m/topshop?
colette is a very cool place to go to. ;D i love their website.

at the Galleries Lafayette on the handbag floor ... i saw the most gorgeous clutch/wallet. I'm wishing i'd bought it and might go back for it...but i don't even know the brand name.
It starts with 'O' and the tag of the brand name was bit funky. It had a like a little Russian doll (those dolls that keep coming out of eachother) hanging off ...i think it was part of the brand logo or something. By any chance would anyone know the brand?

back on topic...paris is shopping heaven.

Orsay and Pimkie, but they are really supposed for teenagers, the quality is quite bad... well then you can find the spanish Mango and Zara, not the best quality either, but better designs at least

I'm in Paris for the very first time, and I have found that unless you have the money to buy designer clothing there is nothing in between the expensive and the trashy. I've been to Galleries Lafayette, Champs Elysees and such just to look, but I don't know where to look for affordable and fashionable clothing...I've set tomorrow aside for shopping so hopefully I will have some luck.

Offtopic, but Paris is everybit as beauiful as everyone says. And I have encountered none of that rumoured french snobbery...everyone is so nice here!

Paris is shopping heaven, I went everywhere...I had so much crap we had our hotel pick it up from the shop rather than carry it all around...

Im planning to go back this summer...I cant wait, w/ all the SS collections...Heaven

it depends but let say all of them starts by the 5-6th of december

I found this really cute vintage shop in Momarte)spelling error, that had the cutest things, but i dont remember of it, also a really funky shop that had some realy cool bags etc... i walked up from the main metro station there and found them. Its near the cafe that was used for filming in amelie.

When they have sales at Printemps and Gallery Layfette, exactly how big do they slash prics? 10%, 20%, 50%??

at the summer sale there was like 20% off stuff that was already 50% off, but mainly designer clothing

I think I understand what some people say about a large gap between designer clothing and cheap tacky stores, but yes I promise you there are many good vintage stores in between.
You just need to know the city and that's all and that's something that doesn't come up in just one touristc trip. I'm from the South of France and I've been going to Paris once a year since I was 14 and it's been only like 3 ago when I can say I know the city like a parisian. It takes time!

By the way, I'm off to Paris next week and do some serious christmas shopping. I do it every year and love it.

This question is more to do with clubs in Paris. Where are some great nightclubs in Paris which play house/dance music?
