About the fur. My best winter coat is fur that I found in a dumpster behind a Goodwill. Yes, it is fur. But if I wasn't wearing it, it would still be in the trash. Vintage fur doesn't contribute whatsoever to the fur industry; in my opinion, it takes away money that would ordinarily be spent on new fur.
And if we are going to be "eco-friendly", it is important to mention that, while fur is biodegradable and natural, faux-fur will forever be in landfills, or if burned, will release chemicals into the environment.
Most of these furs look vintage to me. Very few people can afford new fur. And no one is saying a thing about a Rick Owens pigskin jacket.
