I would really like to find the old Dior collections, but I can't seem to find any. Could you guys help me? :)
 
Hmmm.. ive searched everywhere on firstview.com for past dior collections.. cant find ne!!! Can you paste an exact link for ?? Thanks

Yeah, I couldn't find Dior either :lol They have Baby Phat but no Dior? Makes no sense! :lol:
 
Firstview doesn't have Dior listed... I thought y'all knew.. anyway, it's really hard to find thsoe, but I go to google, type Dior, and then go to images, and I get several images from their collections, when you click them, they might lead you to some collections from DIor or some pics from random shows ;)

you can find up to spring 2002 on elle.com. Not that far back, but it's something. Don't you need to pay to look at the pics on firstview?
 
Easy way to get the whole list, click on Gianfranco Ferre, then it's gonna have Dior linked at the top since ferre designed there before Galliano. Click on Dior and that'll give u an entire list of dior collections from 95 to f/w 03

It's like six degrees of fashion separation. To get to Givenchy you have to go through Julien MacDonald, for YSL you have to go through Gucci, for Stella McCartney you have to go through Chloe.......it's rediculous.
 
yeah they dont have YSL listed either but i 've seen YSL on firstview before (someone probably listed a members only link or something of the like). i think you have to buy a membership or something to see everything.

Those are a few of the french houses. There a more that you can't get to like Chanel, Galliano and Lanvin. Anything in these lists will be free.

In the video you can actually see Nadine (the model) trying to push the PETA lady out of the way.....and right into the arms of security. :woot:

thanks peeps!! yeh I was searching for designers like Dior on firstview.. but couldnt find it anywhere.. and they like put it secretly thru going to gianfranco ferre's collections... hmm.. what a sh*tty layout of a site!! but still.. its cool
 
Hum ... if you haven't noticed .. all the missing collections are from FRENCH fashion houses ... a bit ago ..there was this lawsuit from the french government ...apparently, in France, images of shows belongs to designers/models, so the owners of Firstview.com were doing something illegal ... the site almost closed, if I'm correct ..and that's why I guess there are some missing collections on Firstview ... I remember those news to be posted in here somewhere ..but I'm too lazy to search! :P

the original Christian Dior, as well as the designers appointed after him, there are threads on each in the History of Style forum

In 1996 John galliano gets appointed chief designer
There's a thread for his work here up till 2000
