Pattie Boyd

I don't think you understand how famous and influential Pattie was as a model. It wasn't just that she was married to two famous musicians, in fact I'm not as interested in that as I am in her modeling career. If Twiggy had married Mick Jagger or someone like that would you say she was just a rockstar wife? Pattie had the look that every girl wanted for a while in the 60s and did a lot of work. She worked with Ossie Clark, Mary Quant, Vogue, etc. She WAS iconic. She probably wouldn't even be mentioned as a model nowadays if that weren't the case.

And I love Edie, but she wasn't really a model, she was featured in some magazines for a short period of time because she was a famous socialite working with Andy Warhol, but she wasn't really a model, I wish Vogue had taken her on as one and that whole deal had come to fruition because I imagine we'd have a lot more great pictures of Edie now. I think Edie could have been a great model, but it never really happened for her.

Someone should write a book about the 60s and all the models. Or has someone already? I've come across a lot of books on the 60s, especially Warhol, The Beatles, and the San Fransisco scene, but not really any on the models of the time. I want Quant by Quant and Twiggy's book she wrote in the 60s, but they're out of print.

There is a MSN group run by sixties model Linda Morand. Several former models from the 60's are members including Pattie Boyd. I think you would like it. They have always been very helpful at that site whenever I have had questions.

Those are amazing photos. I'm reading Marianne Faithful's biography and Pattie is mentioned quite often (she talks about Pattie's fabulous sense of style!).

Yes I love that site! I didn't know Pattie was a member. I've looked at a lot of pictures on there and read some of Linda's stories, but I need to check out the message boards more (I'm not used to how msn groups have theirs laid out).
