Payless Pairs With Abaete Designer

The Abaete shoe collection is up now on Payless.com, although the website is currently down for an unknown reason.

Anyway, I glanced at the collection and have to say, the shoes look nothing like the runway heels. They're a completely different style, unfortunately.

i like the runway shoes! I'd wear the white boots and the clear cone heels.

Here are the Payless shoes. I was mistaken in my early post, however--these are the Spring 2007 shoes, not the Fall shoes. That explains why they don't look anything like the F/W 2007 collection. Regardless, I'll post them anyway.

i think the spring shoes are for the lost part ugly.
the cage flats are OK. but the shoes look highly inflexible and uncomfortable.

I saw most of these in person and thought they were much worse than the regular shoes carried at Payless.

i want both the "linda" and the "cabri" boots. i think the patent leather bags will also be part of the collection.

When are those shoes expected to be released, if you know?

I like the boots as well.

lucy do you know if those exact shoes will be produced or are cheaper versions "inspired" by those going to be sold?

http://paylessontherunway.com/
this payless website says that "styles inspired by the runway collection will be available fall 2007".
i'm not sure how easily these replicated on a cheap scale. i havent seen cheap shoes made out of lucite before...

they may charge a lot for the boots though. there was a wallstreet journal story on payless in march talking about how payless was more willing to charge say, for example 40-60$ for patent leather boots.

^ Thanks for the information! I'm hoping the boots will look like the runway version. I'd shell out $40-60 if I had to (depending on the style, I guess).

thanks for the link lucy...

definitely interested to see how these and the lela rose shoes translate from runway to payless..

I just got this in my email:

That pink heel looks really nice.

i can't see your image seanuttbutter.

this stuff is much better than the star jones for payless shoes.

That's strange; I could see it. :(

Anyway, the new collection is available on payless.com today.

The fall collection is available on Payless.com.

There are also two pairs of $14 sunglasses and two handbags on the website.

man, i sure would feel funny spending 70$ on something at payless.
maybe i will attempt to the flavin platform. but knowing me ill break my ankle my first night wearing the shoe:blush:

I know, a pair of $70 Payless shoes does not sound right, period. :D That's got to be a record for them!

is anyone going to purchase the Capri boots? i wonder how soft they are...
