going through the looks from the recent shows, I found many I liked alot from relative newcomers, many I didn't from past favorites, and a bunch that were must haves across the board. in some cases what I actually end up with will be a revision or re-edit of how it was presented on the runway. Dries, Marni and Yohji most likely will do tee versions of their printed tops. but for what it's is worth, the list has started...

taking advantage of so many prints to choose from. I see a backpack in my future along with a floral pajama pant, lots of tops with prints also must have some long sheer-paneled ones. a simple dress or two thrown in to the mix, the isabel marant dress and txell dress for sure. also feeling a strong desire for a jacket with lots of clay-like folds to it in a very earthy kind of way and some blue and white polka dot mens boxerloons.

Gorgeous picks, Lucky! Perfect mixture of brawny elegance, I think. Is the 8th look Nina Ricci?

wiw, thanks, its the 12 look on style.com. what about you? I think you mentioned Anne Valerie Hash, Limi Feu and Sacai this season maybe Riccardo Tisci too? some of these are new to me so I would love to see your musts...

^ Thanks for the info! I will have to take a look @ the Nina Ricci collection. Seems it was lost in the shuffle, unfortunately...

I was actually quite disappointed with AVH this season, sadly. I am in love with Txell, Limi, Yohji, Zucca, Helena Horstedt (whom you might enjoy, btw), Mina Perhonen, Chalayan, and Tao's collections though. I will post pictures later!

I might have to go nude for spring. What an awful season. There is nothing I want to buy.

I love the Marni dress in the lower left corner. I have a feeling there will be a lot of women on wait lists for it who will be disappointed because it will be in heavy demand.

i don't want to think about the spring..

wish the fall would last forever. and ever. and ever. (and christmas, obviously)

I think I'll wear what I wore for this past spring: Shorts, the occasional dress, skirts, and jackets.

I half-way agree with Ida. nearly every SS08 collection made me cry with disappointment.

however, i think some bright/neon yellow pieces, along with more neutral greys and whites will be in order. and lots of sheer (layering)

colorful sheer chiffon panchos and bell bottoms

This is my wish list so far (subject to change)

I love these Givenchy shoes, I know most people will find them ugly but I have been after a white shoe for so long and these are perfect in my eyes. Givenchy is quite hard to get hold of here though...especially in my size.

I also need a white slightly oversized blazer/jacket, I LOVE this one from The Row I would wear it to death but it might not seem likely I would get hold of it, so I might try to get one tailor made.

And in summer I will be wearing many skirts with white t-shirts tucked in + heels/ ankle boots.

Skirts like this:

I'm in a slightly utilitarian mode for spring, lots of olive greens/browns (which is one of my fav colors to wear), loose cut linen pants, slightly sheer lightweight buttondowns that have a slightly rumpled texture and rich earthy tones like clay, plum, crimson. I was quite a fan of Dolce and Gabbana mens for next spring. Everything looked comfortable, just "worn" enough and very warm color and texture-wise...definitly something I could see myself wearing.

I'm kind of tempted to go for a masculine take on that Nina Ricci look luckyme posted, I love the slouchiness, it looks rediculously chic.

For spring... more for mood inspiration rather than actually purchasing the clothes.

1. Lots of bright yellow, orange, and green.
2. Sheer white dresses and tops (still on the fence about sheer pants, they remind me of something Linda Evans would've worn on Dynasty).
3. Balenciaga gladiator boots.

I guess for spring I'm in the mood for flowing, fluid elegance on top and structure on the bottom to bring it down to earth.

Again - more for mood inspiration! :woot:

In general, I'm leaning towards a lot of neutrals as I prefer volume and texture to outward displays of color. I'd also like to do a juxtaposition of prints and intertwine a few ethnic bits and rolled pant legs into my s/s outlook, too. Dashes of popping reds here and there as well.

wiw - I love our inspiration pictures for spring. I hope you post some pictures of how you end up interpreting those looks in real life!

lucky - I didn't know you loved color and pattern so much! I'm really excited to see what you will get for Spring, I know it will be beautiful!!

I don't really have any specific runway inspirations, but I know what kind of pieces I'm looking for. Some of the shapes are a bit of a departure for me.

- high waisted, wide legged pants in cotton (prob. navy) ... more 70's than Hepburn. I've finally succumbed to this trend and now love it!
- wedge sandals in a fawn color
- either fawn or black smallish cross body bag
- drop waist dress, slightly above the knee length
- skirts slightly above the knee

Basically, pants are getting wider and longer for me, skirts are getting a little shorter (but not too short, still need to be able to wear them to work). Tops, I still have to work out ...

I'm already have my eye on a few items from Fall that will work into Spring, so hopefully I can get them when the sales start
