What do you think of bags that have an initial on them?

 :yuk: sick of seeing them and not good looking in the first place

I think they're really cute for my age group (14-17-ish) Although the trend is kind of waning. That was the ultimate gift-bag where I live. Almost everyone I know got some kind of initialed bag as a christmas gift. ;) I got one of the jelly ones from my parents, but I don't wear it much.

Every time I see people with them, old Sesame Street songs start running through my head:

"C is for cookie, that good enough for me"

"Me and my M, we go mmm, mm, mmmm, as we see the Moose, whatta moose, whatta moose, mmm-hmm."

"Wouldja like to buy an O?"

Eeerh, yeah. I'm a dork, and was probably warped by Snuffy not really being imaginary. I used to wish I could live in a garbage can with a swimming pool and an elephant in it...

And I was a little kid in the early 1980s.

I guess it depends on your age... I personally dont like them... my initial sucks.. L :( lol

same here :ninja:
I don't like how my initial looks. "L"
but I don't have a choice.

The bags that got knocked off 1000 times, like the one above... There's one here that doesn't have a single initial, but your whole one.. I can't think of who it's by... but being from the South, everything has to have my whole monogram on it!

L is a good initial ;)

At first I was going to get an initial bag, but I think the trend is over now. If I do purchase one, it will not cost a lot of $$$ (probably b/c it will wind up sitting in my closet).

Don't even get me started on these!

I didn't like them to begin with, and then it just so happened it was Christmas time.. and the trend took off... and department stores were filling 20x20 spaces with the initial stuff (scarves, bags, shirts, socks, hats, oh my!) and putting signs up saying "INITIAL IT!". I thought I was going to die every time I saw one of these.

It seems as though every girl at our school (minus me) has something with her initial on it.

Initial accessories and apparel are the epitome of unoriginality and overdone trends.

and I'm tired of seeing these "pop art" bags too. blah :yuk:

I have a shirt I got initialed, but said shirt was $150 and I had it personally monogrammed, so umm.. there had better not be another one out there!!! :D Seriously, the ones from Belk make me sick. One of my friends is like, "Why get a real when you can get a fake? I can get a suit that looks like Chanel at Belk for $50!!" but, will it be the same quality? uh.. no~

I totally agree and think the initial bags have been way overdone.

i hate intial bags but i hate those images ones with reinstones on only ONE side more. what's with only them being on one side? cheap.
