Yeah, but I liked it more at the show that I do in the pics. Oddly enough, I can see everything I posted. In any case, the rest of the pics can be seen at Gettyhere.

thanks..i'm off to check out the rest...

These looked better at the show - they were velvet burmuda shorts... because his sponsor was Bermuda!!

From the program notes:

"Angelica Houston has a picnic at Hanging Rock.

Modern day ease meets turn of the century constraint. Undone and buttoned up. Epic insouciance. Boldly romantic silhouettes.

Velvety plums and pale pinks play with shades of olive, chocolate and oxidized gold. Vermeer-hued velvets in puce, chartreuse and peacock fuse with mink trimmed tweeds, full-skirted coats and tuxedo shirts.

Evening brings out the black. Delicate point d'esprit and chantilly lace provide a foil for structured silk faille and liquid charmeuse. The matte luster of feather embroidery collides with the sleek shine of jet-encrusted necklines."

mmm...ok...whatever...the program notes are so funny sometimes...

it's a bit costume-y ...but it's pretty...
but i'm not his customer at all...way too uptown for me..

Bakla, thanks for the pics.

I love the grey/black/fur bomber jacket. Very nice. :)

I know what you mean...those program notes!

He's definitely courting those young socialites...! I think I like his tailored stuff the most - it's more downtown to me.

LOL, WHAT? That's such a bizarre sentence.

yeah peter has catered to the 20-30-something socials really heavily in his young career.

along with alvin valley & andrew gn he has targeted the bright-ish young-ish things like a modern day william tell.

I prefered the more interesting colours he used for last fall. the grey, brown and black mixed with lavender, peridot green, muted med. green etc..

not too wild about the colours...the grey, black and salmon pink is nice, but the rest kind of isn't speaking to me. some of the stuff also looks really matronly and dowdy.

but, I like some of the individual pieces...mainly those with the overt victorian influence, since this is exactly what I'm loving right now. this jacket in particular I thought was just gorgeous. ^_^
