Phoebe Philo - Designer

What's wilder to me is those who are absolute a******es behind closed doors but have a great public image. Even within the industry... If only some knew

LOL I always thought that goes without saying… But apparently many do buy into the carefully rehearsed, practiced and I guess perfectly groomed cheap-wolf-in-sheep’s persona that many in the industry have cultivated. Lucky for then, I guess. Of course, in my neck of the woods, even the ones convinced that they’re somebodies are really nobodies on the global scale. And their cheapness just seeps through so naturally that they’ve prepared me to never be starstruck— when I do come across an actual star, or an actual talent, or an actual somebody. I’ve learned very early on that I’m content being a confident nobody with very high standards.

And as talented, and inspirational as some in this industry are, I’d watch my back with all of them. As much as I may not care for her, Phoebe is talented— just not as talented as her stans are convinced that she is. And just like Stella, she always gave off a stench of overhyped mean girl casting her spell over her minions in her wake. But tell that to her stans that are convinced that she invented the air that they breathe…

All the Phoebe stans better be thanking the fashion gods that she hasn't taken to presentations and campaigns. Imagine how much more that coat will be when she needs to recoup all her money spent on the perpetual horse and pony show. She’s the only working bluechip name that’s letting her designs do all the work (…if only more names would be so bold. I’ll give her that.)

she been doing her own thing since her graduation show experimenting with cut and seemingly boring clothes and twisted styling from the reality of the streets (gold side sunglasses on all the girls head /she always loved a statement sunglasses :-)

DOVER STREET MARKET LONDON

Uff... there is just something so eerie about these pictures. The set-up already looks so lifeless, hyper-commercial, dare I say almost COS like, and then these equally lifeless pictures of it, without any people or human touch - Kind of dystopic. No "sensual" quality at all. But I guess the desire to buy comes from another place for people willing to pay.
