It's a bit of a wild collection, perhaps too wild, I like the headdresses though....I thought Milan did Africa last season already...I saw it at Just Cavalli also

thanks for the pictures mr dale...

this is a real 'ozbek' collection so far...
feathers and ethnic details are his signature...it's not a seasonal thing or a trend for him...

there's a lot of stuff going on for the runway...but i bet there are some great pices when pulled apart...i'm rooting for him to do well...

Remember the short black officer's jacket with bones on the lapels , from the early 90s ? :p

god i loved that collection kit...
this is from that same season...if i could find any pieces from that season i'd snap them up!!!

yes...his strongest stuff...imo...always had native american overtones

i also like that one mdankwah..i think that jacket on its own is a typical ozbek silhouette and would be a strong wardrobe investment piece...

it's the cavalli customer...but a bit less vulgar ...showing less skin...
maybe more mature...

Pretty much. And I still don't like it.

MILAN PREVIEW: POLLINI BY RIFAT OZBEK
RIFAT OZBEK is determinedly making his Pollini show one of Milan Fashion Week's hottest tickets this afternoon. The Turkish-born, Central Saint Martins-educated designer has picked Philip Treacy to make his hats and Georgina Goodman to do the shoes for the autumn/winter 2005-6 collection. And Treacy, who is also currently working on a wedding hat for Camilla Parker Bowles, has clearly enjoyed letting his imagination run wild. According to The Daily Telegraph, we'll see Kazakhstan tribesmen's hats turned inside out to show off elaborate striped linings embellished with ostrich feathers, sequins and beaded badges. "The new collection is totally ethnic," said Ozbeck, who was named British Designer of the Year in 1988 and 1992 and took a three-year break before returning to the catwalk for Pollini last year. "I've taken inspiration from Twenties Harlem, the Art Deco movement, Africa and the far-flung corners of the former USSR. I've worked with Philip for years and there is no one who can interpret my mood as well as he can." (February 21 2005, AM)
