okay pompom hat from Issey Miyake
I think I had a similar hat when I was a kid.

I have a pair of Dior shoes from last summer, called "Indian nights", with pompoms on!! :woot:

^ i think i remember seeing those at saks. they're gorge!

awesome nuiko!

love the necklace softie!

I uh... think I have a problem regarding pompoms. bordering on obsession. I made a pompom dangly thing to hang off my purse (10 all different lengths. yeeps) and a GIANT pompom which I affixed to a clear comb and plan to wear out clubbing tonight...

I need help. Pompom rehab here I come!

i tried those on nuiko...they are so fun an beautiful in person...i just know i'd never wear them...so i'm glad to see someone is having fun with them...

thanks ocean...your pompom purse thingie sounds awesome...!!
i made a giant pompom too...haven't figured out what i'll do with it yet...
maybe on a hat...like what runner posted...hmm... :shifty:

but i have an issue...still can't figure out how to connect my scarf...
i really don't want to sew them onto ribbon...do you think i could just tie them to each other?...they are too dense to do the braiding technique...:ermm:

you know what you should do softie? tie another piece of yarn through the center of the pompom, and then tie them all together using those, because if you tie just the loose pieces of yarn together, then they can pull out and you'd have a problem. You definetly want them to be secure.

so...here it is...i think it needs something...but i don't know what....

ocean...the pic's not coming up for me... :(

hehe love the scarf softie! Those are some dense pompoms!! Ocean, love your pompom trick! magnifique :magic:

ok...i can see ocean's thingie now...
i'd like to see it on a bag...i can't quite imagine it...

and thx meg... :flower:

I like your colors softie! very subtle and wintery! much more elegant than mine... :P

i just picked colours that go with my coats...which are all navy and blk...
but i'm not satisfied... it's almost there...but not quite...
maybe it's because i used all solid pompoms...i'm not sure...
anyone have an idea...what does it need?...

I agree with Ocean..great choice of colour..and a lot more versatile than mine.. it.
An idea to what you could do:
Your pom pom scarf is connected like this right? : X-X-X-X-X-X-X (the X's being pom pom's and - | being the yarn connecting the pom pom's )

What you also could do is this
X-X-X-X-X-X-X
|.....|.....|.....|
Xx...X....X.....xX
.x.................x (ignore the dots)
I hope it makes sense...

craftster..its a way of life

that was so funny! the craftster forum... i had a 'fun' few minutes browsing.

i really, really don't like the pom pom thing. they're not me. a few years ago when i started uni i had the coat that i mentioned before with the faux fur pom poms on the back, but I could never wear a coat like that now. The only pom poms i would invest in are those gorgeous marni necklaces.
