How small is small ? The smallest I've made have been the size of chinese cherries, and the yarn I've used have been the thickness of a match, and sofar they have turned out nice and dense.

Yeah, it's not exactly avant-garde! Some of the people posting on there seem extremely young. Anyway, I found some info about fabric + thrift stores in my area...it's an interesting resource.

really?...cause i'm not loving it...i don't think you posted a pic of your scarf did you?..i'm sure it's adorable...
i am still thinking hanne's is ubelievable...
i like how they are all different ...because it makes them very individual and personal...

i didn't notice people being young at craftster so much...it was more the TYPE of projects...very basic and mainstream...almost kitsch...
i did that kind of stuff in arts and crafts at camp as a kid...it's not exactly design..but i didn't go through the whole place...it seems HUGE...
i may go back and explore further...

Pompom using fabric (medium size and 2 small 1 inch yarn pompoms) on my purse

fabric brooches... the yellow one is my first one, it didnt come out so well, kind of clumpy...

I agree with Ocean..great choice of colour..and a lot more versatile than mine.. it.
An idea to what you could do:
Your pom pom scarf is connected like this right? : X-X-X-X-X-X-X (the X's being pom pom's and - | being the yarn connecting the pom pom's )

What you also could do is this
X-X-X-X-X-X-X

Xx...X....X.....xX
.x.................x (ignore the dots)
I hope it makes sense...

I need to stop though. I have like pom poms littering everywhere in my room. I wore a big one in my hair when I went clubbing this weekend (I just tied the pompom to a clear hair comb and stuck it in) and my friends are just not as cool as yah'all... so I was made fun of.
