I really loved Pop back in the day. For me, this first issue was an introduction to this magazine's style before they really got going with content that felt genuinely fresh at the time it came out.

Love has never impressed me in the same way, but I don't know whether that's because other magazines have since caught up (Mert & Marcus are now everywhere) or whether the magic went missing some time ago.
