Potto S/S 2006 Tokyo

softgrey...
could you explain what you mean...?
I'm assuming you're saying the designer is not subtle. I'm wondering in what way???
I'm REALLY liking the pix.
I like everything in context of the whole show. But wonder how much I'd like by themselves. I like the colors and patterns and again there is something soft and held back (but at the same time, thers is a directness i.e. straightforward intention). Simple, and playful. The whole thing has a softness to it. Airy. I like the big cards and the models.
I know alot of the patterns are a bit odd, but I'm thinking the subtleness and soft flow pull them back to simplicity...
no I'm not talking about wine... still on the subject of clothes.
never heard of the designer before.
I find that my opinions sometimes change over time... I'm curious if I'll like more or less in time....

I like this, I like how the designer didn't overdue the patterns

The shoes in the third post look like the stuff you have to wear over your shoes when you're at a hospital

this is so nice, i like how there seems to be a sense of improvisation about the tokyo collections.

wasn't there another show this season where the models held up paper figures ... or am i making up things:unsure:

No, Anna Karina, you're perfectly lucid:lol: Yeah I posted a thread some time ago:

There seemed to be a confusion with the collection/designer name. Sorry, it's probably my bad, but when I did the search on rex features, it told me that the collection was by Tetsuya Yamamoto, so I posted the collection under that name.... But now it seems like that that might actually be the designer's name, whereas the name of the label is Potto:shock: .... Hope that made sense.... at least it did in my head ... ummm.....

ok I get it... its not subtle because of the signs???
well, I like the signs. It's cute

thanks hye park lover for the clarification, i really thought i was psychic:lol:

i merged the threads and left 'potto' as a title, maybe runner or another japanese member can help us about the correct name?:flower:

interesting how my perspective changed, at first i was distracted by the signs and now i find it convincing:p

:shifty: i'm sure it was just a matter of time before you joined the club....
when it's good nothing is distracting enough....:p

Yep, the label is Potto and the designer is Tetsuya Yamamoto. :flower:
