Prada F/W 1997.98 : Amber Valletta by Glen Luchford

This campaign is just glorious. I wish they did campaign videos at the time because these shots looks like stills from a very cool movie.

One of my all-time favorite campaigns  So moody and also very captivating for a fashion campaign. I imagine that when you flipped through a magazine in which this campaign appeared you just knew after seeing one shot that there was story behind this and probably really wanted to see the rest so you could piece it together :p

I posted the full set with some more shots in the Prada campaign archive thread a while ago but don't feel like checking which ones of them are already posted in this thread now (I'm not good at this, I'd probably repost half of them without realizing, lol):

Amber is just amazing in this and the collection was really nice, too.

Oh dear, it's one of the true advertising campaigns' miracles, it's been so long and I'm still stunned by these shots each time I see them.

The team of Amber & Glen for Prada was just incredible, it think theirs were ones of the best seasons the house ever produced, and dare I say my personal top, actually. The mood is just so incredibly haunting, a movie from this would be a real feast indeed.

 :crush:

This campaign, as well as the one Luchford did for S/S 97 I think, were so exceptionally gorgeous. It's amazing how some of the ads from the mid-late 90s really took the idea of fashion advertising to another level. Something like this, or that recently posted Gucci F/W 97 campaign, really do blow you away when you see all of the shots together.

Beautiful - so moody and yet the clothes/accessories aren't overshadowed; they are part of the moodiness.

My God, that shot in which Amber is looking through something is so stunning! I don't know why but it's my favorite one from the whole campaign :heart:
Definitely one of the best Prada's campaign ever.
