Prada Mens S/S 10 Milan

Well, I can't really say I'm disappointed, I like the collection itself, but for me it's just too normal and lacks the usual Miuccia's twist which I love in her menswear so much. Though I'm very curious about her own explanation and the music they played at the show, it will be also interesting to see this idea transformed into womenwear in September.

Wow, I totally love how the people further back had to watch through a mere slit in a wall - it echoes rood screen to me - the less important people are further away from Miucca's altar . . .

Oo i like it alot, the grey and black is nice, granted, not too summery, but its classy I think. The hair reminds me of what Alexander McQueen did for the womens S/S this year... just minus the hair nets. I'm never usually a fan of Prada, this is nice.

ok. gray and black... a bit boring but interesting combinations. the set is interesting but colorless too.

Prada's Gray Elegy

MILAN — MILAN “I was thinking about a black and white movie — and gray suits,” Miuccia Prada said backstage Monday, before she seated her audience in a long tunnel with a police movie script writ large on the walls.

The opening outfits were indeed gray suits but in different shades, and with layers of perforated fabrics that moved from rakish hats, to athletic mesh tops, down to trousers and shoes.

The mistress of sly sobriety was in fine form as she played with proportions and focused on sports materials but never swerved from her concept of the colorless. Or, to be more accurate, she turned the dullness of gray, from dove to anthracite, into a shaded palette. Graphics included the show’s checkerboard floor, check suiting fabric and monochrome Liberty-style prints.

While Milan designers have offered global travel as fashion’s escape route, the Prada man seemed bound to the world of work but with formal wear worn oh-so-lightly — especially when the mesh layers were cut away brutally at the arms. The tip-tap of typing on the show’s soundtrack suggested the office world of yesteryear. But Ms. Prada’s version of workwear was uncompromisingly modern.

I think I must be dazed or something.....I feel I have slapped around the head with a wet fish....but I actually like a Prada men's collection.
Usually I just don't get it but somehow this is ticking some boxes......clearly not all of it.
It's all about grey as it has been with some others too, but again they have managed to make it appealing. The worm turns.

Mesh EVERYTHING! I'm obsessed. But then again, once i saw the venue I knew I was obsessed, i'm suck a sucker for Muccia's conceptual bulls**t.

It's cute.
That's it.
There's nothing spectacular here like there usually is....
Very boring.

oh my i really really love this! i actually the absence of color, the different layering of all these prints, materials, mesh. it gives off this weird crazy pattern that you see in those books that try to hypnotize you (dont know what they're called lol). i would wear this all! even the transparent pants!

oh, hate the hair
im so happy, this is the first collection in milan that actually made me giddy and excited to buy and wear it!

I really like the hairstyle, actually. It gives that twisted Miuccia vibe I miss in the clothes.

Omg, shaking and crying right now, THIS IS DEFINITELY my favorite collection so FAR!!!
