I just noticed, that she's been wearing black to nearly every event recently....i wouldn't mind seeing a little more colour, i think she wears yellow quite well.

A still from Heaven On Earth
Preity Zinta is ecstatic; she has won the best actress award at the Chicago International Film Festival for her performance as the battered Punjabi wife grappling with domestic violence in Deepa Mehta's Heaven On Earth.
She says, "I am so happy and excited. I'm going to have a blissfully debauched celebration this evening. It was my director Deepa Mehta who informed me on Saturday afternoon that I had won. Neither Deepa nor I could go to Chicago, I'm thrilled that I've done it without any lobbying."
She adds, "I'm walking on sunshine. Do you know everyone discouraged me from doing Heaven On Earth and Heroes? But I wanted a change."
Preity is thankful she attended Anupam Kher's acting school. She says, "I attended Anupam's acting school to get my Punjabi right for both the roles."
Preity is happy that this international award will help sell Heaven On Earth to a global audience. "It is a film in Punjabi and I felt the language would limit the appeal.
But trust Deepa to break the cultural barriers." Adds Deepa Mehta, "It's amazing, isn' it? I'm so happy for Preity. She's luminous in Heaven On Earth. Incidentally, Shabana is the other actress to win the best actress award for Fire at the Chicago Film Festival. I don't think any other Indian actress has won this award."
Amidst all this excitement, we suggest marriage. Preity retorts, "Oh ho, not now. I don't feel the time is right. I'd want to get married only when I want to have children.
Right now let me enjoy this moment. Everyone who thought those dimples needed to shut down now (yup, that's what one critic wrote)… this one is for you, guys." The 44th Chicago International Film Festival is currently on up to October 29.
Aww wow that's great for her! Alot of critics had completely written her off saying she was too old for Bollywood, so hopefully she will be signing more films.
Im looking forward to seeing Heaven On Earth, but it does sound along the same lines as Ash's Provoked(?)
That's crazy. She's younger than Aishwarya, yet people aren't telling her to stop acting.
Her movie does sound like Provoked. Deepa Mehta is an amazing director though, so I'm sure its even better.
I do wish she'd get married. I think she'd make a gorgeous bride and Ness and her are too cute together!
