The twists and turns on Pretty Little Liars have captivated the entire country and this week’s episode takes us down another unexpected road. Our eyes were glued to the screen and our hearts were breaking as the shocking story unfolded. While the tension and suspense continued to build, so did the hot fashions of the night. All of the lovely ladies did not disappoint and here are some of our favorite fashionable moments.

Let’s start with Spencer and Emily. They could not be more different when it comes to their fashion senses, but we love both of these gorgeous ladies in their scaled down looks. Casual means different things to different people. It can be as simple as a cute pair of sweats or as fancy as cashmere and jeans. Whatever makes you feel most comfortable is exactly the right casual look for you. No matter what your preference, putting together a great casual style can be just as fun and inspired as your assembling your Sunday best.

Aria's Spider Necklace

It doesn’t look good for Aria and Ezra at the moment, and her parents are keeping a short leash on her whereabouts -- as well as her fashion. Even though her dad made her change before school, her outfit was one of our favorite looks of the night! One of the things we always love about Aria’s overall look is that she never takes her sexiness too seriously or puts it on display. It is always understated and is never the real focus of her outfits. She seems to always have an element of “cool” that keeps her look edgy verses sexy and that is always a fashion “do”. As Aria knows, being fashionable doesn’t have to mean trying too hard to be sexy. Being put-together and confident in your choices is far more attractive than showing too much skin.

Pretty Little Liars

Masculine trends are having a huge moment right now and none bigger than the plaid button up shirt. Emily is our resident casual fashionista, and we love her in this perfectly fitted top. The color is great and because the fit is so perfect it ends up looking surprisingly feminine. Menswear for women is a look that we LOVE. Pant suits, button ups, and blazers are all fab pieces to add to your collection – but make sure the fit is right for you or it can come across as sloppy.

Spencer's Blazer

The blazer is one of our favorite wardrobe staples. It is incredibly versatile, can be worn throughout the year and isn’t considered a trendy piece that has to be retired after one season. Spencer has always been a master with blazers. She radiates a modern classic vibe that we are really drawn to every week. This episode, her camel blazer with the black lapel detailing is a great example of a classic piece with a modern twist. The perfect fit combined with a subtle update makes this blazer a win-win. She tops this look off with an unexpected pair of white boots and all of the sudden she has a cutting-edge look through her pairing of very classic pieces. If you are a modern classic kind of girl, you can add a little edge to your look by matching up your classic pieces in new, unexpected ways.

Hanna's Layering

Layers are a girl’s best friend and Hanna knows exactly how to make this casual idea a fashion-forward look. We love how she layers the T-shirts and sweater. By doing this she adds texture, color, and warmth for a totally cute winter look. Then, to top it off, the lightweight scarf is the perfect finishing touch. Using layers is such a great way to add your personal touch to simple pieces and you get the functionality of being warm. We love this look!

Pretty Little Style Story: Winter Premiere

Aria's Jeans and Boots

It seems like a lifetime has passed since we last saw our favorite “Liars” from Rosewood. For the past few months we have had multiple dreams about “A’s” identity, the fate of Aria and Mr. Fitz, and what trends this new season will bring. Now, the wait is over and we couldn’t be more excited – so let’s put the drama and suspense of this episode aside for just one minute and let’s get right to the fabulous fashion, shall we?

We have to say that we did not see this moment coming. We thought that Aria and Mr. Fitz would just drift apart and safely leave their affair in the past but NO. What a turn of events!! But in the midst of the drama and turmoil, guess who came dressed to impress? Aria looks perfectly put together in grey skinny jeans, boots and a great top. We can totally see ourselves wearing this outfit over and over and over again. Building a solid wardrobe means having a few looks that you can go to in a pinch that you don’t have to think about for even a second. They fit, they work for most occasions, and you are 100 percent comfortable wearing them.

It’s no secret how connected we feel to Spencer’s sense of style. It is incredibly wearable and timeless, and yet still feels young and modern. How is it possible to be all of those things?? It is all because of great pieces like her coat this week! A coat like this one is a great wardrobe staple and really looks great on everyone. The cut is tailored yet forgiving, the color goes with everything in our closets, and the white detailing makes it current and fresh. When you are searching for your winter coat, maybe the answer to the phrase, “What would Spencer Hastings do?” should be your ultimate deciding factor.

Hanna's Dress and Bag

Honestly, there has never been a Hanna outfit that we didn’t love, and this week is certainly no different… BUT this bag she is sporting hogs the spotlight. A great bag is one of the best fashion investments you can make. You can wear it over and over again with everything from your best pieces to your workout gear, and if you take care of it, it can last you a lifetime. So if you are looking for an item to splurge on, definitely keep handbags high on your list.

i love the fashion in pretty little liars! i used to do outfit remakes on my blog for seasons 1 and the first half of two. the fashion has still been really amazing but i feel like its harder to mimic or obtain? anyone else kind of seen that?
