Project Runway Season 3

Yea, I think so too... I think someone metioned that may actually 'jetset' and go travel somewhere.

At the end of Tim's podcast he says the challenge is about "International Jettsetters" and "We're going to take a little trip".

Hmmm............very interesting.

Plus in the previews for next week's episode............they are on the runway and Angela is VERY dressed up with a purse etc. So I wonder if they have to desgin for each other (no models) or design for theirselves????

I've been saying this since Season One ......................they should do Flight Attendant uniforms.

So thinking they are "jetsetters".................I think that is going to be the challenge????

Check out my spoiler from a page back...:innocent:

^My text below is full of spoilers....hi-light to see!

I was thinking that too...but with a free flight via Delta, and maybe accomadation in Parsons Paris dorms?

Wouldn't it be great to have a Paris based designer as guest judge? The Karl, The Karl!! Please!! :woot:

Maybe I'm wrong! It's just a spoiler from Televison Without pity.

the stuff in the extra footage is almost better than the real episodes! I love hearing Uli in the extras, she's quite funny actually. And Vincent, crazy vision and everything, actually comes across as a decent guy.

It kind of just highlights how the episodes are edited to create situations. If you just watch the episodes, you think Jeffrey and Laura hate each other, but then in the extras there is a part where they're chatting over Jeffrey's newspaper dress and Laura is really helping him out and giving tailoring suggestions. It's quite endearing.

i completely agree...the editing does create drama. in the bonus footage, everyone does seem to get along much better.

i respect the opinions of those that posted that jeffrey was rude, but i think it was provoked. he used dark purple because she said it was her favorite and after seeing the garmet nearly complete, she said she didn't like the colors. she said awful things about the outfit to tim even before trying it on and giving it a chance. i really don't think it mattered what he designed for her... she was not going to like it. her reaction was premeditated and her motive was to take him down. i don't feel sorry for her.

anyways, i would love to see male models as well for next season. it would be great to see some menswear.

^ I completely agree!! Angela's mom should have just sucked it up and WORKED that outfit on the runway. It's not like she's being forced to wear that outfit for every day of the rest of her life. I think Angela's mum took things way too seriously-- Jeff, on the other hand, has his career and spot in the show to look after. A garment like that reflects poorly on the DESIGNER, not the MODEL; Angela's mother should've either voiced her concerns about the colour and design BEFORE Jeff picked out the fabric and finalized his sketches, OR she should've just kept them to herself!

Is anyone watching Showbiz Tonight on CNN?? I am so angry with cnn's reporting of Kathy's Najimy......

JEFFREY is an a**whole ..period! you dont mess with someone's mother like that i mean cmon put yourself in her position and to be embarrassed on national television is so f***D up u know .....besides he is the one acting like a little baby with his rude mouth while his mother tries to shut him off....seriously i suggest he goes back to the streets cause he still hasnt amazed me with his crazy shredded pattern dresses...and btw he does highwaisted cloth too....and im glad vincent won but uli did great too.

Meh, I think it´s a tough situation to be at the mercy of your opponents greatest ally. Considering the stakes for Jeffery I don´t think his actions were that offensive. As Heidi and Michael Kors said to Robert (I think) the designer knows what looks good and needs to assert himself accordingly. Jeffery tried to behave suchly (making revisions to colour choice due to lack of selection at the fabric store) and in my opinion Angela´s mom started boohooing like a baby.

Heidi, Tim, and Nina are on Larry King Live tonight too...

on Showbiz tonight.. they were talking about Heidi's comments about Allison model on last week challenge.. you know the fat mini-mouse and the she looks likes a plus size model. They had the Kathy Najimy talking about her feelings and why she upset. Am I the only that thinks Heidi just meant that girl didn't look good in that outfit??

purexelegance, I agree with you, except about Jeffrey being the next Santino. Not only was Santino much more talented, at least he was clever and amusing.

To quote Rich from FourFour, about Alison being kicked off last week:
"Why not throw off Jeffrey, whose routinely unclever criticism of his peers was already old during the first episode?"
Agreed. Santino is 1000000 times better than Jeffrey in his designs.

Jeffrey is just too inconsistent. Apologies on that. :p

Personally, I think what I find insulting is that people think that it's okay to call Angela's mom "porky"... sure she wasn't the skinniest woman in the show, but I mean, you could just comment on her personality (if you had a problem with it) rather than her weight.

Jeffrey should just keep on designing for super skinny rockers and not even come on Project Runway if he doesn't want to design for people who aren't a size 00. He should know that there are challenges like indecisive customers like Angela's mom and also that there are difficult challenges to face like designing for a person who isn't super skinny. Other people pulled it off, why can't he?

I really want Michael to win! He's really consistent and he has a flair for fashion and for the everyday woman.

I haven't liked Angela from the beginning and I really question her taste.
Alison and Jeffrey were the only ones whos designs I was really looking forward to see as the models came down the runway. It seems to me that they were the only ones, who could came up with something new, not something that we all have allready seen before. Now that Alison is out, I'm 100% rooting for Jeffrey.
I don't even think that the way he behaved with Angelas mom was unfair since Darlene (or whatever her name was) brought it on herself by whining all the time and not supporting Jeffrey at all!
I believe, that if you want to be a good designer, you can't be good in designing EVERYTHING. Jeffrey has his own thing and he does it very good, he hasn't chosen to design for bigger women and considering that I think he did pretty good with that outfit he made.
I hope that Jeffrey getting to design for Angelas mom at the first place wasn't set up by the editors, it would be so freakin' ********.
And those of you that think Jeffrey is held there because he brings drama to the show... I don't understand. He is so talented.

love him, love him, love him.

Here is a direct link to the PR videos. On the right side of the screen there is a link for Season 3. Click on that and a list of all the videos should appear, including the bonus footage.

I just wanted to share a brief encounter with Malan this past Thursday. I am visiting New York for the first time ever and while crossing the street with a friend, notice Malan walking next to me. I tapped him and asked if was indeed THE Malan and sure enough he was. He was incredibly sweet and shy and was pleasantly surprised that we recognized him. We told him that he was let go way too soon and he just kinda shyly smiled without saying a word. We tried to get juicy gossip about the show but he obviously wasn't allowed to disclose any information and he did not. However, he did state that he would be showing for fashion week. We wished him luck and he really appreciated it. He walked with us to the end of the block and asked us questions on where we were from and after some more brief chatting, politely said goodbye. He looks great in person and his super sweet and humble attitude made the encounter even nicer.

Oh how cool! :woot: I liked him a lot, and I can't wait to see his collection... thanks so much for sharing. :flower: But haruki-- I couldn't disagree more. Fashion isn't for larger sizes? Please. It may be harder to flatter a larger figure, but fashion is for everyone. No elitist should limit it to the super thin and tall.

I hope you realized you just said what the spoiler was.

Opppss.....

but I guess people know that any thread on a TV show is bound to be full of spoilers. I usually don't go into them until I've seen the show...............just in case.

What a lame challenge. Fashion isn't for everyone. It certainly isn't for such large sizes, it just isn't. It isn't for dogs either. I wish they would stop coming up with the gimmicky challenges and stick to real fashion challenges.

I know right!!! And then we can stop hearing "It's a DESIGN challenge!!"
