Checked Shirt, denim shorts and moccasins. Raquel Zimmermann, 27 years, is dressed like this on the afternoon of Wednesday the 20th, in the foyer of Hotel Fasano, São Paulo. She is sat in one of the comfortable armchairs of the hotel, the number one model in the world, is super at ease, with no sign of makeup and with her hair lightly mussed. "Where is the bicycle?", she questions. It is a few hours after the Animale show, the designer for the which Raquel walks for exclusively in the SPFW, and she awaits anxiously for the surprise of the day. "Everyone imagines that I have a thousand demands, but I am nothing like that. The personnels of the agency Mint know that I love to ride a bicycle in new york and this time wanted to send me one here. I'm guessing that it still did not arrive?", she asks once again.

She is known for her professional posture and low maintence style, the Brazilian model disembarked in the capital São Paulo the previous day for the show, alone for view the collection before walking on the catwalk. "I am not very into parties. Outside of work I like to stay at home, cook for my friends and spend time with my boyfriend. That glamour of fashion has never attracted me, but it is part of my work."

She has been the number one model in the world for two years, Raquel Zimmermann claims that the secret of all her success is dedication. "I think that this is because of my professional attitude. I always try to understand what the client wants to create a different Raquel for each photo. It is the work of an actress, I create a character", she explains. Elected muse of the last campaign of the French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier, the model top showed her masculine and feminine side in an advertisement that created impact in the best fashion magazines in the world. "He asked me to do clones of myself. I separated my two sides and was." For Raquel that climate of adventure and the challenges of her profession is why she continues to be at the front of her time. Invited by Alexander MacQueen, another big name in fashion, she has just faced a session of video and pictures with real snakes, in a setting inspired by Greek mythology. So much work in the international circuit kept Raquel away from Brazil, but did not it prevent her from coming home for Christmas. She brought together for the first time the in-laws and her husband, Ruy Sanchez Blanco with her family in New Hamburg, in Rio Grande do Sul. "To travel Brazil is in mine plans and I want to spend more and more time here.

After the short, however, funny walk of bicycle, in the Gardens, Raquel returned to the hotel with a big smile. "Pretty!", the art director Giovanni Bianco exclaims after seeing the model enter the foyer. "And there? Everything well? How are things?", he questions Raquel after a affectionate embrace. In quick visit to Brazil, Naomi Campbell, who was also staying in the Hotel Fasano, did compliment the Brazilian model and gave praise to her work. "She saw me arriving, stopped and said: I have followed your campaigns and you are each better time. Can you imagine if she had stayed?", Raquel has already met Naomi sometimes in shows at Paris Fashion Week, but has not been near her. "I was super happy, after all she is a supermodel until today", she recounted, shy, with a red face.

In her best phrase, Raquel is not speaking very much about the plans for her career from now on. After the applauses for the Animale parade, the model returned to Paris the next day to photograph the campaign for the French design house Chloé. "On Tuesday I come back to Sao Paolo to shoot the Animale campaign. It is rushed, but so what? I usally to say that I thank God and I follow in front", she says. And the future for Raquel? "I want to retire here in some years, preferably after the birth of two children, a girl and a boy", plans. "I wnat to have a little house on the beach to live with my children and to play guitar. I do not long for much more in life thatn that. I like the simple things."

Thanks a lot Camilla I wonder if that Chloe campaign info is true. RGVogue also reported she was going to Paris to shoot for Chloe but I just thought they confused with the fact she has Chloe this season. I doubt it's for next season's campaign. Maybe it's a fragance? That would be great!
