Hey you guys!!! Raquel landed another major campaign!!!

Raquel Zimmermann, top icon on models.com site, just shot the new campaign of Alexander McQueen in London, England.

And as the Met Ball, a traditional feast of Vogue America, pays homage to the designer, the Brazilian model will wear an outfit signed by McQueen in the event, held at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum next Monday (2).


The work for the brand was clicked by David Sims. Remember that, for the line spring / summer 2010 Alexander McQueen, the Brazilian posed wrapped in real snakes.

Raquel, Ford Models, which occupies the 14th position as a model site Modesl.com icon also appears in two other campaigns this year: Lanvin and Yves Saint Laurent.The photos are by Steven Meisel and Inez van Lamsweerde and double VinoodhMatadin, respectively.

i just dont get it, raquel is doing so well when it comes to advertising/campaigns but she doesnt score big covers. one vogue italia cover a million years ago then nothing after that. she is a regular on vogue paris for so many years but still no cover while other regular girls scored so many eg, lara, daria, natasha even freja got a cover and she is not a vogue paris regular.

Yay, soo excited for McQueen, I'm surprised it's by Sims and not by Nick Knight though. 3 awesome campaigns so far. Really great season for Raquel, she always does well on Fall campaigns.

And I agree with bones and congacon, Raquel has always been a VP favorite but never had a cover, while some new girls just come and get one, I don't expect anything but I hope that Alt gives her a cover considering she has always loved Raquel, Carine almost never worked with Raquel, 90% of her eds for VP were by Alt, and now that Raquel has shot Lanvin and Vogue US with Meisel, not to mention she just had LV by him last season, and Meisel hasn't shot Raquel for a campaigns two seasons in a row since 2004, I think she has good chances of VI cover this year as well, again, I won't expect. But I do believe her chances have improved this year.
