I really like red tights when worn sort of effortlessly.. like Tennessee Thomas does. I think black dresses are best for wearing with them, but really, your imagination is the limit..

i own a TON of cotton dresses in all colours. i like to wear some of the colours with my brown dresses because i have long black hair and sometimes i feel a little too gothic-esque in black and bright red. but, damnit its getting too hot out for them all!

I love that that woman was gutsy enough to pair the red with yellow!

She avoided the dreaded ketchup/mustard look and really made it work imo...
there's a sophistication and quirkiness in the way that she coordinated the whole thing.. from the red shoes, to the gloves and the umbrella..
a very difficult look to duplicate because the original (hers) will always be better..
clearly i don't know her but the outfit seems like it would be a reflection of her personality which is great

April 10, 2008 – Tights make a comeback every fall, but this season they went way beyond basic black. Katy Rodriguez, like Jasmine Di Milo's Jasmine Al Fayed, accessorized her entire collection with fire-engine red hose. "Red felt stranger, edgier, and fiercer, which was what I was going for," said Rodriguez. Others, like Alessandro Dell'Acqua and Vera Wang, used the eye-popping hue with more moderation, interspersing scarlet with sober shades like brown and gray.
