Reiss

I have a few of their tops, I really like their stuff, its good for layering, but I agree it can be a bit repetitive, they usually do the same stuff i.e. vests etc in just diff colours for each season

Just went to the store in SoHo and perused the menswear. For the menswear point of view, I thought their stuff was terrible. It's kind of a mid-range price point and design, with not enough of value in either for me. The closest thing I can compare it to for US shoppers is Kenneth Cole. And that, to me at least, is a bad, BAD thing. My friend Peter and I walked in, and after I tried on a jacket, I said, "Maybe after this we can go to Atelier," in hopes of finding something interesting to shop for while we were down in Soho. His immediate response was, ""After this, as in right now?" ;)

We didn't stay long enough to look at the womenswear, which hopefully is better, maybe like the way Zara is better with their womenswear than their menswear (although Zara is not bad in menswear either). Although the store design was rather impressive. It reminded me a bit of Catherine Malandrino's store in the meatpacking district. Reiss really struck me as amiddle-of-the-road thing, which is the impression I had of it the first time I saw it in London.

I think that someone was talking about womenswear, no? :p

I love Reiss menswear - it's classic and beautiful and the accessories are great.
I always want to buy it all, on the rare occasion I get to go into a Reiss shop.

I'm not a fan of the ladies line though - from what I've seen it tends to be like, knock-offs of Leger dresses etc. They should have their own style range and designs. Especially as they aren't the cheapest shop in the world.
