Ren Skincare

I really want to try this line. I have heard lots of great things about it...

I'm going to London today and plan to buy the F10 mask (with papaya etc.) at Liberty. I haven't tried anything by REN before, but I have a feeling I'll like it... I'll post "results" later :)

My mother uses REN skincare and loves it. My personal recommendation is the Guerande Salt Body Scrub - it's the best scrub I've ever used. You can either apply it before a shower and wash it off, or for a softer scrub, use it whilst you're in the shower. This scrub is packed with so many oils, your skin will be the softest its ever been, and it feels moisturised from the minute you wash it off. Everyone needs a scrub for the summer, this is the one to try!

been using this for a while now.
swapped dr.hauschka for this . .
very yummy. evrythn smells amazing . .
my skin feels like satin
& it's totally free of nasty chemicals . . like dr.hauschka
100% recommended !

*agree tht the salt body scrub is amazing
as is the frankincense and boswellia serrata repair cream
& monoi and shea butter body balm

^ but unfortunately I don't think it's 100% organic and plant-based like Hauschka is. Or is it? Enlighten me if you know please :)

Anyways, I bought my first REN product, the F10 mask (the "red one"). It contains Barbados cherry (acerola), which is rich in vitamin C, papaya, which contains exfoliating enzymes, and Arctic Blackcurrant (if I remember correctly that's what they called it), which is rich in omega fatty acids. The effect is supposed to be gently detoxifying, smoothing and brightening.

I got home from my flight, and decided to try it out. Consistency is kind of different to me; glue-y/sticky, semi transclucent, not entirely smooth since sometimes there are little grains. But I put it on after cleansning, relaxed for about 10 mins. and voilá! It actually did seem to have the desired effect :) So of course this was just my first try, but I think I like it very much.

^ Ahh.. I'm going to answer my own question. I checked on the ingredients list (for the F10 mask), and all the components are plant-based/derived. The frangrance is also non-synthetic and plant derived. So that's good :)

I'm still not sure if it's organic, I don't think so, but I'd love to hear from someone who knows for sure whether or not it is.

Has anyone ever tried a REN eye cream? Any recommendations?

I just discovered this line and want to try some of the special masks. LIke the lifting one.

I want to try the F10 Enzymatic Smooth Radiance Facial Mask!
From their website,
Formulated to gently exfoliate and detoxify, this mask will boost cell renewal and leave the complexion smooth, toned and bright. Enzymes from Papaya gently remove dead cells while Vitamin C from Barbados Cherry Extract and essential oils of Orange, Mandarin, Grapefruit and Pineapple neutralise antioxidants and fight free radicals. In addition Arctic Blackcurrant Oil rich in Omega 3 and Omega 6 essential fatty acids repairs and soothes.
To use: Apply a generous amount to clean skin. Leave for 10 minutes. Pat and lift with fingertips. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Are these only sold online? Damnit, I was going to stop with the skincare for awhile and focus on wardrobe and SLG. :(

I really want these:

There is so much in the line that I want to try.

I have this love for all things French and try to use just French products but I may have to get away from and try these REN products.

Yes only French products for me too! Although I do like ReVive (they have a sunscreen 45 out in June that I'll get) from the Louisville plastic surgeon, and Natura Bisse is from Spain. And La Prairie is Swiss...also I really want the skincare line, Swiss Perfection that they use at the original Clinique La Prairie in Clarens-Montreux but they only sell it there. But now I want to get a ton of this REN stuff! God I need a stockroom for my skincare.

I tend to stick one complete routine for about six months and then I switch lines again.

I need to get over using one line and just mix it up with a bit of everything.

LETC - have you read the book How Not To Look Old - its very interesting for someone in the beauty industry.

Glycolactic Skin Renewal is a great product, I use it about once a week and even though it hasn't particularly helped with any marks, my skin is really refreshed and glowing after I use it. Also it lasts longer than you might expect, I've had mine since Christmas and still not finished :flower:

Also, if you have sensitive skin, try the Calendula Omega 3/7 Hydra-Calm Moisturiser. Mine is not particularly sensitive but sometimes it can get stressed out if I use too many products...but this calms it down instantly ^_^

This moisturiser is formulated to gently hydrate, soothe and protect more sensitive skin while helping to calm redness and heal minor irritations. Omega 3 and Omega 7 essential fatty acids reduce skin inflammation and essential oils from Calendula and Chamomile calm and heal. In addition, phytosterols from Camellia restore moisture and boost skin lipid content whilst native phytopettides and peroxidase enzymes from Moringa Seed and Fennel Seed protect the skin against the harmful effects of pollution and free radicals.

^Does the Glycolactic Skin Renewal really do anything about blackheads?

Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Off Mask

A potent bio active peel mask designed to renew the complexion, reduce fine lines and dramatically improve skin tone, firmness and radiance. It has been formulated with a fruit acid complex (lactic, glycolic, tartaric and citric) and papain enzyme to give a gentle but potent exfoliating peel that will leave skin glowing and in optimum health.

This mask is particularly recommended for congested and mature skin, and works well on post acne scarring, blemishes and blackheads. It is not suitable for sensitive skin types.

To use: Apply a generous amount to clean skin. Leave for 10 minutes. Pat and lift with fingertips. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Caution: Avoid eye contact. If eye contact occurs rinse well with warm water.

^Ones on my nose have cleared up significantly...I don't really have a problem anywhere else. I'd say it's better with blackheads than acne scars :flower:
