Ive also noticed alot of ribbed knee high's and socks as well ..

I love my ribebd tights .. i only wear black or grey ones though .. h & m have had these in for the past few winters now they are warmer then regular tights .. somehting to do with air being trapped in the ribs or something .. so anything that keeps me snugg is a must in book

i just got a pair of gray ribbed tights that i've been lusting over since i saw them on kate bosworth in an editorial. SO cute & perfect for winter ( i live in florida so the weather never gets quite cold enough to wear all the winter clothing i'd like to!)

I need a grey and navy pair.

I think they make a outfit seem more day like opposite the normal opaque ones which IMO are a bit more suitable for evening wear.

Also I think that the ones in knee hight are great for layering.

I like it! I think they look best in black, grey and white, but they can look cool in other colors too. I like other textures as well btw.

Can anyone help me with sizes for tights? On this sizing chart is says Medium is 42-44. What is that...inches? What does is measure? I thought it was legs but it seems wrong.

I would interpret 42-44 as UK 14-16, but to me that would more likely be large than medium? hmmm...

I only suggest this as I used to work for a European company where 36 translated as 8, 38-10, 40-12, 42-12 and 44-16.

Loved reading all the opinions and ideas...I adore ribbed and coloured tights - I'm in the Southern Hemisphere so we're heading into summer but already I can't wait to be wearing tights again! This winter I wore dark maroon opaques and fine ribbed grey woollens from Wolford (called winter logic or something I think!). Now I'm liking the idea of dark green...

I wear forest green ribbed tights almost every day in the winter

...as part of my school uniform I do rather like them, though.

I don't like the opaque ones. They look kinda cheap...and cold! I don't really get them.

I love, love, love ribbed tights. I have them in black, two shades of gray and off-white They look so cute and warm, love wearing them with a sweater dress and warm boots.
