Why did they have to announce this news with this photo lol.

Okay but seriously, good for him! Really unexpected move.

I honestly don't know what's weirder - the photo itself, the fact that they used it for this announcement, or the announcement itself. everything is so appropriately bizzarre lol

Thsi brand needs all the work in the world to become desirable again, let's see if Riccardo still has it in him...

The blurry effect of that picture makes it look like his floating on grey waters, so glamourous.

Does this mean Phoebe Philo is going to take a long break?

Ugh, this is a nightmare!!! Don't think it will wash well with many customers at all. Bailey has done so much to rebrand Burberry, to synonomise it with class, and we get Tisci?? Who by the way looks like a migrant mugshot in the shot above?? Great way to sell him to the British public!

This is such a weird combo but I'm excited! Burberry is going to blow up!

I think it's safe to say now that all the future appointments will be as strange and unexpected as this, just like Céline, Dior and Lanvin turned out to be. Any rumours we hear can be dismissed right away, as they no longer seem to be based on any truth.

Truly disappointed with this (again). What is wrong with brands these days? Riccardo was supposed to go to Versace, and Phoebe and Kim to take over Burberry. These pairings would have been perfect! I guess now the trend is that brands want people who will turn around the whole thing.

Boy and we thought Slimane at Céline was a plot twist!

I don't think this is a good fit at all honesty. Pheoble or Kim would make way more sense.

I also want to add that on top of this being simply bizzarre, I'm kinda sad cause i was hoping to see him do couture again.

    Bad move, imho.

Watch for Kendall to open their next show with Kim frontrow.

This is Dundas for Cavalli all over again.

They want hype and they'll get it, but not sure if Burberry and Tisci's goth aesthetic will mix well.

Well based on how this and Céline turned out, she'll probably end up somewhere like Versace or Roberto Cavalli.

or his late urban goth rapper mix. But maybe that's what they want.

I mean, Bailey's ss17 collection for burberry had a goth feel, but that didn't last long

Literally the last person who i would think would end up at Burberry!! Whoa!!

But thanks so much for the laugh with that photo, he looks like a sexual offender warning.

I wonder why he would even want a job at a house like Burberry? Is it the $$$? Those shareholders are not easy to deal with, just ask Christopher, he had them on his back for years, despite giving so much, and such great results!
