I've only watched the show a couple of times and feel sorry for the girls. They are young, pretty, and have the world at their fingertips but appear to be so unhappy. They never appear to be the fun loving, carefree young women they should be at that age. When I watched the clothes bored me as much as the girls.

I enjoy The Simple Life much better, at least Paris and Nicole are geniunely having a good time and are fun to watch.

I somehow love "Rich Girls". It's as though I understand some of their issues, although I am nowhere close to rich. I think they truly are intelligent, just a victim of creative editing, although they are exec. producers. I can't really explain it.

I also can relate to Ally's emotional state. Even though virtually they have nothing to be depressed about, and neither do I, that's not why depression strikes. I understand how weird it is to be in a place like that...that's probably why I like the show. Atleast their hearts, I believe, are in the right place.

but her teeth are like...trademark Hilfiger teeth

I admit to watching the show a few times. It's entertaining, anyway. I think the thing that bothered me most was when they were having a discussion on how they're cultured and are familiar with all parts of the world. Then they zoom into a topic on fashion, and how people in the midwest wear cargo pants/capris...but not out of fashion. We actually wear them because we work in the fields and need pockets to hold the tools and such. I was like, what the f**k???

Yeah, these girls are oblivious. I'm sorry!

yeah, that was a stupid remark, to say the least! or when Ally said that she does not want to go to Greece because she does not know the language?! It's like, girlfriend, get a dictionary! they are really shelterd in many ways and afraid of lots of stuff, it seems...

its pure entertainment. its not that the show is good, but its funny to watch. I hate how Ally tries to get spiritual all the time and talks about how she's lost her childhood, shes 18. Also Jamie is so annoying always depressed, i dont even think she has a problem she just wants the meds. As for her mom shes a nut case and her dads too funny. Their clothes are nothing special, they buy the same stuff every teenager is buying...tastful but nothing to talk about.

althought i am a little partial to anything hilfiger (my nasty nasty obsession with thte label) the show really made me laugh and was an overall good show. (IMO)

although Jamie made me wanna just slap her and scream SMILE DA*NIT

but does anyone know the name of that guy that sometimes hangs with both of the girls?? i saw him e.g. when one of jamie's dogs was sick and they had to take him(or her i forgot ) to the animal hospital and when they had to get the dog back the guy that i mean was waiting with all of them at the animal hospital.. at that time he was wearing a black shirt and white pants and he has long dark hair..hope this will be helpfull thanks anway

She didn't have a childhood my ***, she probably had the best childhood.

They're both too whiney for my liking.

I liked that show. I mean, it was beyond stupid and the episodes were pretty repetitive but it was kinda addictive. I was skimming through YM today (the MTV issue) and they had something on those two girls. Yeah, here's what the magazine said:

"Ally and Jaime are two beyond-wealthy teens who mean well but are just clueless. In the third episode, they have an epiphany while watching a documentary about famine in Ethiopia. Ally wants to call Dial-a-Mattress and send some bedding to Ethiopia, and Jaime admits to spending $400 on Manolo Blahniks before asking, "What is more important, a pair of shoes or a life?" A few episodes later, they freak out over a killer pair of Marc Jacobs boots, which according to their calculations could probably save two lives."

They try so hard to be "regular" teenagers and be so deep and therapist-like, but they're just ... stupid.

the day i laughed the loudest was when ally was explaining jamie how she wanted to "start fresh" with a metaphore regarding make-up. or when she was explaining people with a career in fashion of (at least) 10 years how outfits should be placed in the shops. if she didn't take herself so seriously, i'd like her better.

i don't like their "style". i think they're really laid back and only put on safe clothes. i'd imagine them chanel and dolce, not a pair of jeans and a white boybeater.

and tommy hilfiguer, is he obssessed with ralph or what?

For the programme.. It really is very addictive, I've seen every episode for about 3 times now The girls (especially Jaime) just don't know what to do, though. Jaime is too damn spoiled, she only smiles when she spents AT LEAST $2000.-
Ally sometimes gets on my nerves with her spiritual talking...
Overall they aren't too bad.. B)
