Richard Burton

hahaha, the one bath in a lifetime-story threw me from my chair:lol:!!great sense of humour!!!
thanks so much for posting these:flower:.i only wish they were longer...him singing an irish/gaelic song was also one of the peaks of the interview.and in general when he speaks he makes me fall in love with the english language.it couldn´t sound more powerful and rich then when it´s delivered from his tongue.suddenly it starts to bloom and unfold itsself even though normally i don´t find any flowers or buds in this language at all :unsure:.he really had the poets´ voice....in his life journal he wrote somewhere that poets often aren´t able to read their own poetry...again i have to compare him to oskar werner.his rilke-readings are outstanding too,to say the least:heart:!!!

Wonderful contributions everyone :flower:

Maybe someone can help me- this is a real long shot, but...In the late 60s, I believe, there was a very short craze of men wearing silk turtlenecks with tuxedos (:o) and I always remembered seeing pictures of Richard and I think Bobby Kennedy wearing them- but I have never found pictures around..Anyone know what I'm talking about? I thought it was tres chic, but the whole idea went away very quickly, never to be seen again...But I swear, I have a nice tux here, and someday... ;)

a beautiful profile picture of a young burton, very pensive and solemn
