    Well, I remember RJ pre-Chapelle so RIP. A bit of a 'munch in his personal life but dammit that boy was fly in his day.

    What's really sad is that a lot of teens from my generation (including me born in the late 80s) had never heard of him or his music outside of Dave Chapelle's skit.

    I loved his music, especially when he collaborated with Tina-Marie and the Mary Jane Girls, brings back childhood memories...He will always be a phenomenon.... RIP brother.. :heart:

    Even tho i did not know alot about rick James and i wasn't born when he made his songs i still say R.I.P Rick james
