RIP Alexander McQueen CBE 1969 - 2010

I can't believe it...Someone that talented.I can't accept it.It's such an abrupt loss.I mostly can't accept the fact that it's a suicide.He'll missed.

i'm so upset and sad right now.

no no no no no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i dont want to belive it!!!!!!!!!! he was one of a few who made art, not fashion, but real art. so, no, he should be alive.
i didnt even read what he did... i mean, how he died, i dont want to know.

I'm in shock, this is so sad. RIP to an amazing talent. What a tragedy, I cannot believe it.

This is truly upsetting.
The world has lost a visionary genius. I hope his family is coping well.
It's a very bleak thought that we will never again see a McQueen collection by Lee himself.
R.I.P

I am at a loss for words.
While I have always had "favorite" designers, I always found that McQueen had his own category in fashion. He always thought outside the box, and I never even found it fair to group him among my "Favorites", he was more like an icon, that even my favorite designers couldnt compare to.

Such horribly sad news, and on the first day of fashion week.

I'm so affected by his death. He was such a great influence in the fashion industry, he was my favorite. :( He made so much impact as a designer, well for a fashion student like me. He inspired me a lot. I hope he's in peace now.

Spring 05 with the chess layout is probably one of my favorite collections/presentations for a fashion show ever.

I agree it is also one of my favorites as well. So creative and fun to watch. I will never forget that show.

I cannot believe why I am in this forum right now.
I saw the article about his mothers death yesterday and what just happened????
I can't believe this news.. I still feel like this is some kind of mistake.

this so sad. he was so original and had such audacity in his design. may he RIP.

i can't imagine how the fashion weeks will ever go on with any kind of celebration whatsoever...it just feels so depressing. we've lost a master so tragically....somebody many designers have either looked up to,been involved with in experience or just a peer.

i think the reason why so many are affected by this is because he has in some way or another enchanted us immensely with his honesty, originality and authenticity.
