Sharp-tongued comedienne Joan Rivers has labelled Tom Cruise's fiancee Katie Holmes talentless - and believes her engagement to the megastar is her wisest career move to date.

The notoriously rude Rivers believes Cruise's former partners exploited the War Of The Worlds star to boost their own status, and maintains the Dawson's Creek beauty will be no different.

She says, "Each woman has done very well by him - Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz. So this one, Katie Holmes, who doesn't seem to have much talent, is probably the luckiest of all.

"I saw her in Batman Begins and, let's just say, she better hang on to Tom for a while!"

Yea Pieces of April was a really good movie. It's not that she doesn't have talent it's juist that everyone simply remembers her as "that chick from Dawson's Creek" so they think shes using Tom. They creep me out as a couple but w/e people should just leave them alone.

That's ironic. What's Joan Rivers got to say anyway....she's not even that funny and makes a living at being a talentless comedian not to mention she and her idiot daughter think they're some experts about fashion when in reality they got the worst taste on the planet.

Well, no sh*t. He's a megastar. Mostly anybody whom he dates is not going to be as big of a celebrity as him... with the exception of... Julia Roberts or something.

This is coming from someone who has seen every single one of her movies (I was obsessed with Dawsons Creek years ago). She simply cannot act. She does the same 'little innocent girl' voice no matter who she's playing. Plus she's a b*tch in real life.

I did like Pieces of April, but I wouldn't say her performance was Oscar worthy. It was okay and it didn't ruin the movie.

BUT....she was freaking horrible in Batman Begins....unbelievably. I live in NC near where Dawson's Creek was filmed and I can confirm that numerous papers, etc. detailed how terrible that Katie acted during filming - especially to extras and the crew.

that made me laugh

I have to agree with Ms. Rivers on this one - Katie has no talent.

katie was brilliant in Pieces of April - so frickin amazing. but, the tom cruise thing def. seems to hurt any credibility she has as a serious actress.

Good ol' Wilmington, eh? That was me, an extra a couple of times. Her and James Van Der Beek (Dawson) were rude. Joshua Jackson and Chad Michael Murray were the nicest :D

She's mastered the lazyeye long pause stare with a blank expression on her face.

which takes talent!
