I liked the long knit cardigans and capes. The last 4 or 5 looks were really nice, my faves. I can't wait to see the actual runway shots!

I like the pops of yellow, like a toned down version of the fluo pants in S/S 08.

best of NY menswear, but there's hardly any serious competition is there? excluding patrik ervell maybe. some really lovely pieces, but i'm so tired of that shorts over trousers look. like the leathers a lot though

Yea, not much competition in NY menswear. Robert's designs have a good way of breaching the gap between European and American menswear I would say.

I can't even say how much I enjoy this collection though. Not to mention the pricing is going to be much less than other high end designers. I'm sold. :D

I'm way too distracted by the ridiculous looking models.......

oh my god!!! the designer TOTALLY read my mind. The zombie/hippie/trash guy look was EXACTLY what I was hoping for this season!

in all seriousness, there might actually have been some good pieces in the show, but the showcasing is just horrible.

closer to Alexander Plokhov's aesthetic than ever, esp the braid details and the cable knitwear...I guess he wants to revive his old boss' spirit. Lovely layerings

They were design partners. I believe Geller had just as much input into the design process as Plokhov did.
With that said, it does remind me of Cloak back in 2003-2004.

and terribly obvious at that casius! these clothes look very much like it could have been designed under the cloak label. and i do think his voice with alexandre was so key in those early seasons. as he seemed to even carry some of those aesthetics after he left with the HARALD endeavour. he tried moving away i think last season but really if it isn't broke....

his strength seems to lie in this kind of mode. the dramatic side seems to be his forte.

its great though! i love the coats.....those trenches and that military coat with button bands in the last row of your first post is just pure heaven. besides those, the knitwear is brilliant as well.

The thing that one realizes about Geller is that this is his style. If you compare what Cloak looked like before he came on and afterwards, in the Geller era around 2003 - 2004, you'll notice the shift. Geller himself layers his own clothing on his person in a very similar way. He dresses like he designs, which can't be said of many designers. I don't think he got as much of the credit he deserved when Cloak finally gained more mainstream fashion popularity.

there are a lot of nice and wearable pieces, but somehow i feel it is a bit too ordinary and regressive; because i felt even post-geller cloak was refreshing in many ways.
