I saw your name and almost died! Thought you were the Roisin! :woot:

Anyway, any particular Moloko tracks that stood out for you? I love them all.

Roisin is incandescent. I completely adore her. An Avant-Garde wonder. She's simply brilliant

Ahahha, no not the roisin, sorry! Lol. I really enjoyed pure pleasure seeker, sing it back and forever more. I'm still not done listening to all the old stuff, so I'm assuming that there will be more favorites to come!

I read that she used to model during her art school years. Are there any pictures of her back then, or was it basic, local work? Also, are there any more pictures of Roison as a teenager/young adult? She's described her style during her youth in interviews before, and it sounds so eye-catching.

im pretty sure if thats true it was local work & im not sure she ever made it into art school. shes said she was primed to go but never did because moloko got signed & took off...

i have a few photos of roisin "back in the day". let me sort through my files, will upload them in a bit ^_^

On the probability of a Moloko reunion from the lady herself, on the official forum.

"OK i will never say never, why should I? You talk about the double meanings and the ambiguities of the song writing and then expect me to be the kind of artist who has some kind of over-arching plan? It's a record at a time with me folks, what will be will be. As for the relationship, well it's true we began to create music together the night we met/became romantically involved. The two things are linked on some deep level I still don't fully understand. I never wished to become involved in music, was it what he wanted for me subconsciously? Was he lonely in his big studio? He created a studio soul-mate, started from zero and built me as he wanted me.
Now I can only speak for myself, but lots of things I wanted were never granted to me and that built up over time. Performance came naturally to me, but somehow that seemed a treat and it was never encouraged or refined until after we broke up and I took matters into my own hands(with the help of Eddy).
As for the story? The opera is still being written, at least for me. Why Mark is so quiet, you will have to ask him. If you take Cannot Contain This(a song Mark never wanted to finish) as the final note on Statues you will see why the narrative led me this far away from Moloko and my darling Mark."

I would kill for a Moloko reunion. They made wonderful music together.

Ah Cannot Contain This is one of my favorite songs.... Thanks God they finished it... I am quite happy with Roisin's solo... I think she is brilliant... I think Moloko was brilliant too... anyway I don't mind reunion but I am not dying for it either as long as Roisin carries on with her solo career....

i am too. that's one of my faves of the moloko era. i dunno if i have an opinion yet about a reunion. i quite agree kiss miss, personally i am thoroughly enjoying the solo side to roisin. and it's great she was able to sort of break out and pave her own distinct path as an artist.....on her own terms.

i am so happy roisin finally hooked up with ninette. back in 2005,ninette told me she and roisin had been chatting about doing an edition for the first line, and she wanted to do some really interesting t's with loads of sequins....but of course since this was so early on and independent financially it was impossible to get it manufactured like a print.

so glad there was a resolution eventually and she did something with her distinct touch.

^^Pretty darn cool mackos;)
Can't wait to see what she comes up with:woot:
She really need to put her own footprint on it which I'm sure she willB)

I know it's a bit too early for such questions, but can we suppose some menswear pieces would be included? Well, even if not, I'm going to get some Róisín-ish t-shirt from womenswear division

in the past,if not otherwise unisex, with the DAA t's there's generally a men's version to a woman's if it's a bit more femme. though i am not positive there will be with roisin's. we'll see i suppose.
