Rolling Stone July/August 2025 : Sabrina Carpenter by David LaChapelle

I know it's a statement of some sort and passing judgment just means we don't get it, but between this and her new album cover (titled "Man's Best Friend") ...

Maybe I'm just a prude in my old age, but it feels like Madonna (and others) already did all this 30+ years ago maybe it's meant to shock or inspire conversation from a different angle, this time? Like instead of eliciting outrage from the "right" it's meant to inspire outrage from the "left" this time?

The thing I like to do with any Sabrina Carpenter image is to imagine how much the vibe would change if she was doing it with dark hair.

Any 'statement' being made is underpinned by all the cultural associations that come with being blonde.

Be interesting to see what happens in any future phase of her career where she decides to go back to brown hair.

She really looks beautiful with dark hair. I love her Fast Times music video. Dove Cameron took the advice.

Classic RS cover, a reminder of the late 90s nude covers (maybe a tribute to Christina). So welcome now. And by David, the ultimate photographer from that era. I hope this will be reprinted here. I know this was made before, but it fits with Sabrina's current direction.

I like the Helmut Newton vibe on her album cover and also like the RS one, is giving me Cicciolina. I don't know if she's reheating nachos -I hate that words- from erotic icons from the 70's-80's but I´m living.

To me she looks (or at least tries to with her styling) much older than she is.
I was shocked when I learned she's only 26.

She always gives me, Miss Piggy in human form vibes.
The think pieces over her looney tunes album cover, is so wild to me.
Generation (.....) would lose their minds over Madonna in the 90's.

She doesn’t have that femme fatale factor so I don’t understand why she would pursue this. Most of her fans are teenagers with borrowed personality from the Internet and it won’t help her either.

Every single thing about this girl feels so forced. It's like she is always playing the role given to her by the management.

I love the cover and practically all of the photographs. Sabrina is a head-turner and LaChapelle captured her beautifully. I am not a fan of deers but Sabrina makes up for their appearance. It's a must-have summer issue for me.
