Clearly she's hankering for an edgy look like her Dragon Tattoo hair. David Fincher recently said Sony spent millions of dollars on the sequel and its script, so he thinks it's likely to get made.

I too think they'll eventually head into production, but I hope Fincher doesn't get to direct the sequels. He's never done sequels in the past. They should go Swedish and get a different director for every installment, but Sony will probably argue that they need consistency in order to capitalize. When great directors do sequels it almost always ends up pear-shaped (see Lars Von Trier's Dogville & Manderlay).

Back to Rooney, the hair really is distracting. Besides, isn't this trend over yet? Haven't seen it on anyone for a while now. The rest I'm fine with. She suits the CK aesthetic, but Rooney is not a girl who should be paired only with one house. She needs more freedom. I hope she throw me a bone with some Givenchy or Balenciaga soon.

personally i am not a fan of the hair, but like you, i get the "look" and i don't see what's that bad about that outfit; it's from the fall 2014 Calvin Klein collection, which has a totally 90s-feel (with a tinge of grunge), and which is probably why she's wearing it since she's an ambassador for the brand AND at his runway show for spring! anyhow i think it looks fine. rooney has that pixie-waify look about her - like a young winona ryder - which totally suits the grunge aesthetic, in my humble opinion.

^I love '90s grunge and get what he was trying to do, but I just don't think it was executed well. It comes off looking like a poor Comme des Garcons imitation.

The photocall look is different for her. I think I would like it if it were more fitted around her waist, it's a bit too shapeless otherwise.

The premiere look is as we've come to expect from her. I hate to say it, but I'm getting a little bored by these black/sheer/cropped looks.
