Rosamund goes from Bond Girl to darling bride of May
Her performance as a Bond Girl secured her an army of male fans but British actress Rosamund Pike is off the singles market for good.
After getting engaged to movie director Joe Wright, Rosamund will be walking up the aisle next May.
The 28-year-old, who shot to fame in 2002 as icy secret agent Miranda Frost in Die Another Day, met Joe, 35, while filming the 2005 screen adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride And Prejudice, which he directed.
Rosamund was cast as Jane Bennet opposite her then boyfriend Simon Woods, who played her on-screen love interest Charles Bingley.
However, it was off-screen that Rosamund discovered her Mr Wright and Joe proposed at Lake Como in Italy en route to the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of his latest film, Atonement.
A close friend tells me: 'Rosamund is obviously very excited. She and Joe want to get married in May in England. Rosamund's mother is preparing for a busy few months.
'It will probably be left to her to plan a lot of the wedding because Ros and Joe will be in Los Angeles working for six months.'
