Not all the history is known or accurate. The jewellery itself is fascinating because of the construction and design.

I can't stand Sophie's jewelry. The pearl necklace and earring were bad enough and then the tiara....it looks like diamond horns and a spike in the middle of her head. I like the individual design they were going for but the execution was done poorly. It could have been a lot better.

The Nicholas I bangle is absolutely gorgeous, as is the bracelet of Romanov diamonds - the clarity is magnificent.
