* on the subject of braids, mullet - I much prefer a tighter braid [ie. rue de mail & last season's giles] to the looser versions. Although they do look awfully cute at Chloe . . a little messy / undone [esp* in the front.]

oh I hear you, m x h!.. fishtail braid is my favorite as well and I never learned how to do it myself, always had to ask someone for help.. I've tried but always ends up being a mess!.
as much as I love it though, I probably feel more inclined for a looser kind of braid a la Chloé.. just because it lightens up an outfit, which I'm sure Paulo's team thought of when they looked at the collection and noticed the slightly heavy materials that were used and intricate detailing.. I know I've tried that braid [a little tighter] whenever I'm wearing dark suits or dresses.. I can't take feeling too 'polished' so I feel better if my hair at least is making the balance.
