First time joining ... here's my entry ... it's my take on what happens if the piece turns up in an editorial (it's only a standard jumping pose but hey )

Well, first of all, thanks everyone for entering, it's all appreciated. I'm still working on mine, I've just been lagging. :innocent:

piep -- Sorry I confused you with the Chalayan pic first... I like this one because of the whole woodcut feel it has, especially in the hair and the texture of the dress itself. I hate stippling, and can only have respect for the patience it takes.

mirrra -- I don't know how you do it. You did this so quick, and I love the type and ink-like background texture/mask. Good to see you in the game!

Hana_H -- I love how the little red dots are floating about, the look suspended and frozen in time or something. I like the pose too. I also noticed your hand writing is kind of like mine!

piep (again) -- This one is awesome too, I liek the cigarette and the pose. The Anna Sui type is great too, I know it's hard to render type in marker.

dior_couture1245 -- I love this concept, I totally want to play with these things! Hell, i'd buy Gemma toys. great way of retaining texture and design in a unique shape.

EdanChrysler -- Yours looks crazy but I like it. It kind of reminds me of Olive Oil, and I like the touch of the text on the side of the piece.

GBArt -- This looks SO much like Morgane, but yet without being so detailed, I think you nailed her vibe and the flow of the dress.

titania and songbird -- How did you guys do this? I want to see the steps it took. You guys nailed Gemm's face on this one, damn nice piece.

This one was REALLY hard, I liked 4 pieces, but I have to choose one. I'm know everyone's took effort, and I thank you for that, but piep went out and did 2 excellent pieces, and so I pass the pencil to her. :flower:

*insert applause*

Come on up and give your victory speech.

Thank you Fourboltmain!:flower: as for my speech: "it's a honour, especially being picked out of my fellow participants, whose drawings I like so much. Everytime it is a pleasure to see the different interpretations, full of skill and fantasy."
but to be honest, i was killing time doing these pieces. It was more fun than the drawings I should have done instead:rolleyes:

Oh, I love stibbling around, I do it quite seldom here, instead I try to keep the sketches more - well - sketchy for a change to keep the drawings more lively as opposed to how i mostly draw:lol:

thanks, too, mirrra, songbird and titania:heart: btw: Titania+songbird, I am also interested how your colaboration worked...;)

Our collaboration:
songbird started the the sketch to which I completed. Then we painted the bow belt, gloves and shoes with black acrylic paint (the black glob was an accident ). We got the effect of the red spots and fishnets using a broken barbeque skewer (songbird's idea). Then we digitally modified it and presto :flower:!

Awesome picture choice, piep :woot: !

fourboltmain: Amazing reviews! Thank you!!

Congrats piep!

And that's a great piece to choose! I'll get down to something if I can find any time to ...

my eyes are blurry now..
