Editorial:

In My Own Time – Channeling Jennifer Beals in the 80′s movie “Flashdance”, Marte Mei Van Haaster shows off her best moves for the December-January cover shoot of Russh Magazine. Photographed by Alex Franco and styled by Gillian Wilkins, Marte sports workout ready style from the likes of J.W. Anderson, Sonia Rykiel and Jean Paul Gaultier with wet tresses and dewy skin. / Hair by Andre Gunn, Makeup by Serge Hodonou

She looks like Jaslene Gonzalez (ANTM winner) here, especially on the cover.

The cover would have been decent without the flower print and the weird font of the tagline, "greatest hits." Also, is it just me or does Marte's left leg look wonky in the last picture? It looks like it was taken at a bad angle or something.

One of the weakest covers by Russh so far.. I don't know who that girl is but she needs a lot more energy/soul/dimension, even if what she's selling is exactly no energy, soul or dimension.

The styling is also reminiscent of one of Wang's dirty/smelly-looking collections around 2009.

I agree, that's definitely not their best cover, though I don't find it that bad. But the editorial is seriously awful. No idea what they were trying to convey here? Marte looks incredibly awkward and I hate the styling, too.

Because the Night Calls Patti – Inspired by musician Patti Smith, model Melissa Stasiuk sports a wardrobe of jacket and pant looks for the December-January edition of Russh. Photographed by Nick Dorey with styling by Hanna Kelifa, Melissa exudes a casual elegance in the designs of Balenciaga, Christopher Kane, Alberta Ferretti and DKNY amongst others. / Hair by Naoki Komiya, Makeup by Lucy Bert

Marte's cover is nice but I agree with some of the feedback. She's just missing that certain something to make it spark. Her ed on the other hand, is a disaster, same facial expression through out and it looks more like a catalog shoot.

On the other hand, Because the Night Calls Patti, is very cool!!

Thanks, hexagon sun for all the posts!

I feel like we see the exact same editorials in Russh every issue.

I really miss Will Davidson and Benny Horne. :(

I agree. I feel like my eye's just glaze over while looking at the editorials, they don't have any variety. It's a shame really because I remember when it was great a few years ago. I wish Russh would shake things up a bit and bring back the old sense of spark that it used to have.

I agree I have bought Russh since the beginning but haven't bought it for over a year
