I really hope Versace doesn't just use a one colored background and pose the models like they did last season. I was so happy that they used models but the concept or lack of concept just seemed awful and boring to me. But I can't wait to see the big ads...Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, Versace..etc..

Word has it she's been tapped as the star of Herrera's spring campaign, to be shot later this week by Mario Sorrenti, who is also new to the house.

DIOR'S NEW FACE: Change is in store at Christian Dior — in the advertising department, at least. According to sources, after many years of collaborating with photographer Nick Knight, the French fashion house has tapped Craig McDean to shoot its spring campaign. The ads will feature model Gemma Ward. Dior officials could not be reached for comment.

I'm glad that Dior has changed Nick Knight, a new photographer will bring something fresh and different. I'm not happy about Gemma though, she doesn't strike me as fitting Dior or that collection particularly. After seeing Lily D's cruise ads I wish they would get her for the main campaign.

Not thrilled about Carolina Herrera either. I can't remember what her daughter looks like but I am sure she can't do the campaign better than a model could.

Lohan to Star in Miu Miu Ad Campaign
Talks may have fallen through to make Lindsay Lohan the face of Louis Vuitton earlier this year, but it looks like the starlet has a second shot at the ad campaign stakes.

Miu Miu has tapped the teen queen as the face of its spring 2007 ad campaign. A Prada spokesman confirmed Lohan is shooting the campaign in London over the weekend. Separately, WWD has learned Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott are the photographers.

The move sees Miu Miu mixing it up on the image front once again. For fall 2006, Chinese actresses Dong Jie and Zhou Xun and Japanese model Lina Ohta fronted the brand, while in the past celebrity faces have included Kim Basinger, Camilla Belle, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Drew Barrymore and Chloe Sevigny.
