S/S 2009 Ad Campaigns (please read post #1 before posting)

VUITTON’S MATERIAL GIRL: Will Madonna be the new face of Louis Vuitton? Sources close to the brand said Steven Meisel shot the pop icon for the spring ad campaign. Meisel and Madonna have a long history together, most recently seen in the May issue of Vanity Fair, as well as that infamous collaboration back in 1992 for the book “Sex.” It’s also rumored that after seven years, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott are no longer shooting for the brand. A spokeswoman at Louis Vuitton declined to comment on anything related to the campaign.

MMA, thx for the info
finally Meisel get LV, i'm so curious to see the ads..
i hope it's controversial too

I was right about Meisel, shooting for LV. ^_^

It's really sad to see Mert & Marcus leave since they had a long standing relationship with LV.

Madge and Kanya together sounds like an additional promo for her I suppose fourth single from Hard Candy 'Beat Goes On'....

Isn`t there anything better for Suvi than Gap?? OMG, it`s a bit lame, after Calvin Klein, Blumarine etc...

I hate when they use celebs in ads, not even mention about Madonna...

Why you're choosing to make it sound like I get off on being withholding is beyond me. A lot of the time people are contractually obligated not to leak information, or exercise better judgment for fear of harming someone's career, or chances at a particular job.

I gave up information previously stating that a musician would be in the Louis Vuitton campaign, because I thought some information would be more appreciated than none at all. Apparently I was wrong.

don't put words in my mouth.

i just made a sad face. meaning i was sad. that's that.

Meisel with Madonna can do no wrong in my book. :buzz:

Great that Natasha is doing Jil Sander again. Too bad Lara isn't.

There's nothing to be sad about! ^_^ Perhaps in today's culture, we have a tendency to want to know everything as soon as possible and draw excitement from it. But what is most disappointing is to see a finalized campaign not include someone originally reported as being cast...so better safe than sorry. Moreover, premature news truly involve some risks for various parties, and hence we don't require people naming "industry sources" in this thread :) Because it would also be unfortunate if news was leaked too early, got someone in trouble, and as a result we never received early information from that source again :flower:

This is best news EVER, Mert & Marucs gone? So happy about that, all of their campaigns for LV were getting into one big bland artifical blur for me, glad to see them being replaced at least at LV, and i hope Meisel is used for the next couple of years. Thanks so much for posting that MMA. :flower:

Is there anything on the horizon for my sweet Alana :(? At least that awful Daisy Lowe-DKNY news is wrong :yuk:.

Though I prefer a model for LV I wonder why so many people are so much against Madonna. She has a great body, even at her age of 50. Many young girls may wish to have a body like that. There is nothing wrong with muscles. They tone the body, make it strong and help to keep it slim (or prevent it from becoming fat). I think she is a very good example of how you can get older and still look great. And in a picture......well oké photoshop will do the trick and the muscles will not show and also the veins and other signs of an older body wil disappear. But are not all campaignepictures photoshopped?

Has this been posted? It's soo RANDOM.

Never ever have we wanted a rumor to be as wrong as we hope this one is.
New York Magazine's reporting that Pamela Anderson's not just the new face of Vivienne Westwood, but that the Spring 09 ads have already been shot - in a trailer park.
We did think it was weird that Pam sat front row at Vivienne's London show - she's always been a Stella McCartney girl - but we can see Viv thinking this is the funniest thing since making Naomi walk in those blue shoes.
Ok, we've actually harbored a secret crush on Pam since her days writing for Jane. And we do think Vivienne's dresses look best with a nice rack...

 I'm curious to see the outcome of that photoshoot, thanks a lot for posting

.... Pamela Anderson? That's so outrageous that it's going to be fantastic just for humor's sake!

I think the world won't change without some help. I swear next season someone has to kidnap Natasha and only let her go after all campaigns were shot.

I know there's not that much so far but anything annoys me personally. I would rather see Pamela in the Jil Sander campaign and Natasha for Westwood.
