VUITTON’S MATERIAL GIRL: Will Madonna be the new face of Louis Vuitton? Sources close to the brand said Steven Meisel shot the pop icon for the spring ad campaign. Meisel and Madonna have a long history together, most recently seen in the May issue of Vanity Fair, as well as that infamous collaboration back in 1992 for the book “Sex.” It’s also rumored that after seven years, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott are no longer shooting for the brand. A spokeswoman at Louis Vuitton declined to comment on anything related to the campaign.

Thanks for the awesome news! Why you're choosing to make it sound like I get off on being withholding is beyond me. A lot of the time people are contractually obligated not to leak information, or exercise better judgment for fear of harming someone's career, or chances at a particular job.
I gave up information previously stating that a musician would be in the Louis Vuitton campaign, because I thought some information would be more appreciated than none at all. Apparently I was wrong.
don't put words in my mouth.
i just made a sad face. meaning i was sad. that's that.
Perhaps in today's culture, we have a tendency to want to know everything as soon as possible and draw excitement from it. But what is most disappointing is to see a finalized campaign not include someone originally reported as being cast...so better safe than sorry. Moreover, premature news truly involve some risks for various parties, and hence we don't require people naming "industry sources" in this thread
Because it would also be unfortunate if news was leaked too early, got someone in trouble, and as a result we never received early information from that source again

http://fashionista.com/2008/11/pam_lands_viv.phpNever ever have we wanted a rumor to be as wrong as we hope this one is.
New York Magazine's reporting that Pamela Anderson's not just the new face of Vivienne Westwood, but that the Spring 09 ads have already been shot - in a trailer park.
We did think it was weird that Pam sat front row at Vivienne's London show - she's always been a Stella McCartney girl - but we can see Viv thinking this is the funniest thing since making Naomi walk in those blue shoes.
Ok, we've actually harbored a secret crush on Pam since her days writing for Jane. And we do think Vivienne's dresses look best with a nice rack...
