aw man I wish I saw it. when will they play this episode again on reruns does anyone know?

I'm not sure, but they'd more than likely edit that part out. People on the west coast who watched the show last night said that it was edited out by the time they got to watch it.

We're really asking for too much if we expect celebrities to be able to sing.

Nope - I saw it - it was still there. :)

The worst part was that at the end of the show, she blamed her band. Said they started playing the wrong song. They were trying to SAVE her. That's terrible. Ugh. And her dancing was appalling.

oh god, sooooo very classic

I remember her poor performance at the VMAs, or whatever MTV event it was - it was sooo horrible, no wonder she chose to not sing live. And she can't even do that!

Wow. That's really embarrasing. How could she just walk off stage like that?! Nice dance moves, btw. I was pretty excited about this SNL, seeing as Jude was hosting, but even his exceptional talents could not save this episode as being one of the worst I have ever seen. Terrible.

Obviously you didn't see Queen Latifah's episode two weeks ago.
Just the thought of it makes me want to cry out of embarassment for her.

This week was pretty good.
[Except for the Ashlee gaffe. But I don't see much of a biggie. I didn't expect her to be singing the entire thing live, so why is everyone so shocked? Plus, from what I remember, it was only certain parts of the song that had vocal 'backups' on it. Maybe I need to watch it again to refresh my memory, but really, I didn't expect anything spectacular from the lesser Simpson girl.]

I REAAALLY enjoyed the opening monologue where the ladies sang "He's the most beautiful man in the world' to Jude.
Also, Weekend Update is starting to work out nicely.
Far from the awkwardness the first episode so clearly displayed.
Big fan of Poehler, so I do want it to work out for her and Fey.

It's been true in the past, where SNL only improves as the season progresses.
[Well, most of the time.]
It gives them time to work out kinks and duds, which SHOULD, in theory, leave us with pure gold.
So let's keep our fingers crossed, and hope this season will improve.

It figures that the one time I decide to not watch SNL, I miss something good.

DAMMIT!

yeah...that pissed me off...i wonder if she apologized to them...

Does anyone know where I can go to see it? The posted links on the last page dont work. I would really like to see it

Wow...she is a really awful dancer! I saw her video online just a moment ago, from where she flubbed her song, and...just. wow.

That's hilarious! She soooo deserved that. I doubt the band cares if she apologizes or not. They get payed to make her look/sound descent, and they have to put up with her. So I'm sure they rather enjoyed that.

I agree completely  She is such a loser and I hope this spells the end of her career. I get so mad when I think of all the truly talented people who have to perform in the subways while people like Ashlee get record contracts.

 OMG the video is amazing!
what is up with the dancing  its sooo awful, she should have auditioned as a hobbit for lord of the rings

that little move was....horrible....but humourous...she used to be a back up dancer, too...for her sister....
but then again, this was like choreographed singing as opposed to dancing......

i wonder what would've happened if she had done like a real performer + actually SANG THE SONG AGAIN!!?? but i suppose the fact that she had planned to lip sync and was all set to start 'singing' a different song kinda caught her off guard..

what i've been hearing is that she was actually REALLY siniging in rehersal, but sounded awful, was complaining to her vocal coach, and left the place crying because she couldn't sing decent......so they opted for lip syncing instead for the real performance......

i'd actually like to see the first performance.......i missed that... to see how obvious it was that she was lip synching.

Check out the bands faces when she finally walks off - They are LAUGHING at her! I don't blame them one bit!

She made herself look like a fool by walking off - at least the band got some air time of themselves alone ;)

my opinion
the band did it to her on purpose

The band doesn't have control of the backing track. The engineers in the control rooms do. :flower:

this is hilarious. she's bouncing up and down all ready to lip sync...acts clueless, then all of a sudden slinks away guilty.

mortifying
