Ah, well, same goes to both of them, I guess, even though I didn't think it applied to Anna when I watched the show.

Café? It would be a mistake, I think. Freja could do VeckoRevyn and the girly mags, and she would probably be a good choice for many wholesome Swedish commercials. She has the whole girl-next-door wholesome appeal going, even if she has the SI body. So that could be a nice carreer there, if she sticks around for that long. She just doesn't seem like the girl that would DO the Café cover, you know? There's hardly any money involved and all the girls who do Café go nowhere but down....or marry soccer stars, and Freja didn't hit it off with Zlatan She just doesn't seem like the sl*tty cheerful groupie type who mostly seem to grace those covers.

Wait, I'm not quite sure what where talking about now. What I was trying to say in my first post was that I think Anna has the body for high fashion, but I don't dig her face. Freja doesn't have the body nor the face (although she's a lot prettier than Anna).

She really is making a serious mistake if she thinks that people who are quite are stupid, good lord. Also, perhaps she should realize that while she is quite attractive, she isn't so astoundingly breathtaking that people wouldn't listen to her for that reason (not that many people are)...it's more that she is so "in your face" that many people stop listening to her, and are turned off.

För Florina är det viktigt att inte vara "tyst och snygg" eftersom det finns en stark negativ koppling mellan utseende och intellekt, säger hon. Samtidigt som skönheten hyllas och eftersträvas, tror folk att den som är vacker bara bryr sig om sitt utseende och inte har haft tid att lära sig något av värde.

- Folk tror ju att modeller är dumma i huvudet, att allt fokus ligger på det ytliga. Det känns som att eftersom jag har fått något slags erkännande för mitt utseende, majoriteten anser att jag är vacker, så måste jag göra allt jag kan för att få människor att lyssna på vad jag säger och se min personlighet också. När jag får min högskoleexamen kommer jag att tejpa fast den i pannan.

The talk about her being beautiful, ideal woman et.c. it's somewhat but then again you can see that she's secure and pretty much comfident in what she says. Expressing the like for yourself is pretty much a negative substance. People find it stuck up. However Florina does that but she mellows it with the "down to earth" things which are quite true. The paragraph quoted here is just a part of a context (the interview), which people need to read to be able to make up their mind.

Quite/shy people are usually seen as dumb, I agree with that wholeheartedly. I remember this girl at my school, that was teased for not being social enough whether during the classes or outside. It was like, ah you won't get anything out of her (in a negative way) even though she had great grades.

Well, the thing is that Florina - in the series - seemed to think that it was important for her to dominate a room. Sure, people who don't say anything at all may seem dumb, but there is such a thing as "lagom" and I think Florina would gain a lot if she had the confidence to be quiet sometimes. The way she babbles on she seems a bit nervous to me Yet again, they edited the show in the way they saw fit....they probably took away Florina's more charming aspects. I thought she made some interesting points during the DN story - about her family, about moving to Sweden - I empathize with her there, it must have been a strange experience for her. Overall I think DN's story about beauty is pretty lame, though, they're just too simplistic about the concept.

I agree, I went through the interview again and I found it somewhat cynical which in the context of it's own is not Florina's fault but the newspaper's. There are 1000 "more important" things to talk about, I'm quite unsure why they chose to feature this story. Was it a frontpage ad?

It was on "Insidan" - they have an article series about beauty there. It could have been good, interesting, but it's not great so far. It's hardly the most pressing topic, but they usually discuss something controversial there.
