Stupid questiong and not sure if it belongs here, but here goes.
I got a burberry patterned square scarf from a friend. The problem is, i can't find a good way to wear it without it looking awkward, since i'm a small person and the scarf is pretty big, almost a metre on each side.
any ideas on how to wear the scarf?

You can use it as a wrap when going to a beach/garden party..over jeans or a simple dress
You can also use it as a Sarong over jeans/swimsuits
Tie around your body as a dress

Same with me, I can't wear scarfs.
They look goofy on me, either to short or too thick.

I have my granny knit me 10' scarfs that are fairly thin.
But even then, I just don't look good in a scarf.

There's a great Hermes book on how to tie your scarf. Lots of great ideas, maybe you could find pics off it online or something. Here are some pics I found on ebay, where you can also get the book:

try folding the scarf in half, putting it around your neck and stiking the ends of the scarf into the little loops that's made. it looks really feminine. i think that with those scarves, pretty much anything works as long as you don't just drape it over your neck. that just looks lanky and careless.

what's the difference between a square and long scarf? maybe it sounds stupid but i;m clueless:unsure:

If you go to vuitton.com and choose a scarf, go to details, there are also some flash animations on how to fold a scarf. Hope that helps. =)

I was just telling my sister that I have so many scarves (given to me as gifts) and I don't know what to do with them. I'm not a "scarf-y" sort of person and I think I'd prefer to wear them as tops.
Any more suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Going to hermes.com now.^_^

I own a great bunch of scarves from my trip to Thailand that I'll probably never wear. They're gorgeous, though. I'm just not the scarf person-type.
