Is this an homage to gym teachers or something?
I don't care for it at all.
Interesting!! Looking forward to seeing more, always look to Self Service for something amazing, so hope it doesnt disappoint!!!
so joe mckenna styles stella tennant as himself for the cover. how original.....
i don't appreciate it at all.
Strange cover! I don't really know what to make of it, to be totally honest. Thanks for posting, Pedro.
possibly the worst Self Service cover in a long while.
It looks like a Gap ad.
This is Joe McKenna to a T, he's one of the best stylists and deserves all the recognition he gets.
I like it, I would have preferred the cover to be a bit more like Iselin's ed in COS Magazine though; but it's so unusual, when so many covers seem so overdone lately this brings everything down to basics, and nobody does basics as Joe
i like the cover very 90
I have to say that I like it a lot. Great change from the past few issues, I'm sure there will be multiple covers this time around too, but this feels very fresh.
Plus Joe's work never disappoints, I want to see how they pay tribute to it!
Wow, a Joe McKenna issue? That's great! He's one of the best stylists in the world of fashion today. I remember seeing the editorials that he styled in the early years of W.
Although I think it's a strange cover, I am looking forward to it. Over at the the Self Service blog, you can already see some unpublished Ezra Petronio snaps with models Maryna Linchuk, Aline Weber, Hannelore Knuts, Isabeli Fontana.
I love it. It may not be a very glamourous cover but it's very striking.
Hate the cover. Self Service hasn't been bringing for me these last few issues!!!
i second that
Even though I love both Stella and McKenna's usual styling I don't like that cover.
^ Totally agree with you on this, Kanna. Both are awesome, but this just doesn't work for me at all! Hope the eds are better!!
Well i love it! Stella and Joe Can't wait to see more.
